We come before the throne of grace with this urgent cry for deliverance, lifting up this beloved child of God who seeks protection from the evil one. The Scriptures assure us that our Heavenly Father is a shield to those who take refuge in Him (Psalm 18:30), and we stand firmly on that promise today.
First, we must address the concern about the "evil eye." While this phrase is not explicitly used in Scripture, we understand it to represent the harmful intentions, jealousy, or curses that others may direct toward us. The Bible is clear that no weapon formed against God’s children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke every scheme of the enemy in the mighty name of Jesus. The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that no curse or negative word spoken against this one will take root, for the Lord is their defender.
We also take authority over the negative and intrusive thoughts that seek to torment. The enemy is the father of lies (John 8:44), and his goal is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But we stand on the truth that God has given us the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16) and that we are to take every thought captive to obey Him (2 Corinthians 10:5). We command every lying spirit, every spirit of fear, anxiety, and confusion, to flee in the name of Jesus. The blood of Jesus cleanses from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7), and we plead that blood over this mind, heart, and soul.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You as Your children, covered by the blood of Jesus and sealed by Your Holy Spirit. We lift up this precious one to You, asking for Your divine protection and deliverance. Lord, You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). We ask that You surround them with Your angels, that no harm or evil may come near them (Psalm 91:11). Crush and destroy every work of the enemy that seeks to oppress or torment them. Let Your light shine into every dark place, exposing and dismantling every scheme of the evil one.
Father, we rebuke every negative and intrusive thought that does not align with Your truth. Renew this mind daily by the washing of Your Word (Ephesians 5:26). Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let Your joy be their strength (Nehemiah 8:10). We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37), and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus. Strengthen this one to stand firm in their faith, knowing that You are always with them. May they walk in the freedom and fullness of life that Christ died to give them (John 10:10). We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in the truth of God’s Word. Memorize and meditate on Scriptures that speak of God’s protection and peace, such as Psalm 91, Isaiah 54:17, and Philippians 4:6-7. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with and for you, and remain steadfast in prayer and worship. The enemy seeks to isolate, but God calls us to community and fellowship (Hebrews 10:24-25). You are not alone, and the Lord is your ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust in His unfailing love.
