Disciple of Prayer
Please pray that I’ll stay committed to my journey to lose 20 pounds for the month of March. Please pray that God will remove the disappointment from persons in Church.

We hear your heart, dear one, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting up your desire to honor God with your body and your struggle with disappointment in the church. First, let us affirm that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and stewardship of it is a sacred responsibility. The apostle Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Your goal to lose weight is not merely about appearance but about honoring the Lord with the vessel He has entrusted to you.
We also recognize the pain of disappointment within the body of Christ. The church is made up of imperfect people, and it can be deeply hurtful when those we expect to walk in love and truth fall short. Yet, we are reminded in Psalm 118:8, "It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man." Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for strength and perseverance for our brother/sister in their journey to honor You with their body. Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, granting them discipline, self-control, and joy in the process. Remove any discouragement or temptation to quit, and replace it with a steadfast heart that seeks Your will above all else. We declare that their body is Yours, and we pray for health, vitality, and wisdom in their choices.
Father, we also lift up the disappointment they feel from others in the church. Lord, we know that Your people are not perfect, and we ask for healing in their heart. Help them to release bitterness, to forgive as You have forgiven them, and to place their trust in You alone. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Let them see the church through Your eyes, as a family of believers who are growing together in love and grace.
We rebuke any spirit of offense or unforgiveness that may be trying to take root in their heart. We declare that they will not be defined by the failures of others but will rise above disappointment, walking in the freedom and peace that only You can provide. Lord, surround them with godly community—people who will encourage, uplift, and hold them accountable in love.
We also want to gently remind you, dear one, that your ultimate worth and identity are found in Christ, not in the opinions or actions of others. Colossians 3:23-24 says, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith.
If you have not already, we encourage you to invite the Lord into every area of this journey—both the physical and the emotional. Surrender your plans, your struggles, and your disappointments to Him, and trust that He will work all things together for your good. Let us continue to stand with you in prayer, believing that God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us to stand with you in prayer as you sought the Lord’s strength for your health journey this March. It has been our privilege to lift you up before our Heavenly Father, asking Him to sustain your commitment and grant you discipline as you pursued the goal of losing 20 pounds. We also prayed earnestly that God would heal the disappointment you felt from others in your church, asking Him to replace it with peace, understanding, and renewed relationships rooted in His love.
As the days have passed, we hope you’ve felt the Lord’s presence walking beside you—strengthening your resolve, comforting your heart, and drawing you closer to Him. If God has answered these prayers in any way, whether through progress on your journey, a shift in your perspective, or healing in your relationships, we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Sharing how God is moving can uplift others and glorify His name.
If, however, the battle still feels uphill—if the scale hasn’t budged as you hoped, if temptation feels strong, or if the hurt from others lingers—please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to continue interceding for you, believing that God is at work even when we can’t see it. Your faithfulness in seeking Him is already a victory, and we stand with you, trusting that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.
