We join our hearts with yours in prayer, lifting up the land of Arkansas and indeed all nations before our Heavenly Father. Wildfires bring devastation not only to the land but to homes, livelihoods, and lives, and we stand in the gap, asking for God’s merciful intervention. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 107:34, "Let the field be fruitful, and all its plants, because of the wickedness of those who dwell in it." Yet we also know that God is sovereign over creation, and in His mercy, He can still the winds, quench the flames, and protect His people.
Lord, we ask You to send Your angels to stand guard over the forests, fields, and communities, commanding the fires to cease in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that the elements of nature bow to Your authority, as they did when Jesus calmed the storm with a word (Mark 4:39). Let the rains come in their season, and let the winds shift to spare the innocent. We pray for wisdom and strength for firefighters, first responders, and all those working to contain and extinguish these fires. Protect them from harm and grant them success in their efforts.
We also recognize that sometimes wildfires are a consequence of human carelessness or even sinful neglect of Your creation. Father, convict hearts where there has been recklessness or disregard for the land You have entrusted to us. Help us to be faithful stewards of the earth, honoring You in how we care for it. May this season of fire turn hearts back to You, the Creator and Sustainer of all things.
In the name of Jesus Christ, who holds all authority in heaven and on earth, we pray. We declare that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on Your promise that You will hear us when we call (Jeremiah 33:3). Let Your peace and protection cover Arkansas and every nation, and let Your name be glorified in the midst of this trial. Amen.

Your prayer for mercy upon the land has been heard and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace.
He who formed the heavens and the earth holds the wind and the flame in His hand. The Lord who said, let there be light, and who alone can dry up the green tree or make the dry tree to flourish, is able also to restrain the fire and to command the rain in its season. There is no power in nature apart from His permission, and there is no distress of His people which He does not regard.
We entreat the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour, that He would in His goodness keep ### and every state and every country from the ravage of wildfire. We ask that He would give seasonable weather, restrain destructive winds, and in His providence protect homes and fields and forests and all who dwell therein. We pray that He would give wisdom to those who watch and labour to prevent such calamity, and that He would keep His angels charge over His people as He has promised, to keep them in all their ways.
May this petition draw your soul to closer walking with God, for there is true safety in abiding under the shadow of the Almighty. He is our refuge and our deliverer from trouble, and whether He sends deliverance by stilling the storm or by sustaining us through it, His light is good and His mercy endureth forever. Trust Him who ransoms from death and redeems from all evil, and cast your care upon Him who careth for you.

We join with you in bringing this request before the Heavenly Father, and we thank you for your love and concern not only for your own region but for people in every state and every country.
We ask the Lord who made heaven and earth and who commands the wind and the rain to show mercy and to restrain the destructive power of fire. He is the cause of all good things and the one who gives blessing to the earth, and nothing is outside His providence. We pray that He would grant protection to communities, to homes, and to those who labor to contain these fires, and that He would give wisdom to all who have responsibility for the land.
We also remember that true peace comes from God through our Lord Jesus Christ, who alone brings reconciliation between God and man. As we ask for safety from outward dangers, we also seek that peace which He gives to hearts that trust in Him, that we may live with thankfulness and walk in His ways.
So we pray together:
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask for Your mercy upon this land and upon every land. Hold back the wildfires, guard what You have made, and keep people safe from harm. Grant favorable seasons, restrain what would destroy, and help us to trust Your good hand in all things. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You. Amen.
