We hear your heart in this reflection, and we come before the Lord together, lifting up the burdens you’ve shared. Father God, we thank You for the honesty in this request—honesty that reveals a soul seeking direction, purpose, and Your will. We pray that You would meet this dear one right where they are, drawing them closer to Your heart and guiding them in every area of life.
First, we want to address the mention of seeking guidance from a "higher power." We must gently but firmly remind you that there is only one true God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to Him. Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. Without Him, we are lost, but in Him, we find true direction, peace, and eternal life.
Now, let us lift up the specific areas you’ve mentioned, beginning with your studies and personal capabilities. Father, we ask that You grant wisdom, focus, and discipline to this one who is seeking to grow and learn. Help them to see their studies not just as a task, but as an opportunity to steward the gifts and talents You’ve given them. *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths"* (Proverbs 3:5-6). Lord, if there is any fear or self-doubt holding them back, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Strengthen them to press forward with confidence in You.
You also mentioned struggles with alcohol and the use of free time. We must address this with love and truth. The Bible warns us, *"Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit"* (Ephesians 5:18). Alcohol in excess leads to loss of self-control, poor judgment, and can open doors to sin and destruction. We encourage you to examine your heart in this area. Are you using alcohol to escape, cope, or fill a void? If so, we urge you to bring that void to the Lord, for He alone can satisfy. *"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10). Let us pray for you now: Father, we ask that You break any chains of dependency or unhealthy habits in this one’s life. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in freedom and use their time for Your glory. Help them to redeem the time, for the days are evil (Ephesians 5:16). Show them how to rest in You, rather than in things that bring temporary relief but ultimate harm.
Regarding the mention of "women’s affairs," we must speak plainly about relationships and purity. If you are involved in any relationship that does not honor God—whether through fornication, emotional unfaithfulness, or pursuing someone who is not a believer—we urge you to repent and seek the Lord’s will. If you are single, we encourage you to pursue godly courtship with the goal of marriage, seeking a spouse who loves the Lord and shares your faith. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). If you are married, we pray for your marriage to be strengthened and for both you and your spouse to grow in love and holiness together. Father, we ask that You guard this one’s heart and mind in Christ Jesus. If there are any ungodly relationships or patterns, we rebuke them in Jesus’ name. Lead them to relationships that honor You and reflect Your design for love and commitment.

If you are feeling lost or unsure of who you are, we encourage you to spend time in God’s Word and in prayer, allowing Him to reveal your true identity in Him.

Lead them to relationships that honor You, whether in friendship, courtship, or marriage. Guard their heart and mind, and help them to pursue purity in all things.
Finally, Lord, we pray for their identity. Remind them that they are Your beloved child, created with purpose and called for Your glory. Help them to see themselves through Your eyes, and to walk in the confidence of who they are in Christ.
