Disciple of Prayer
I would really like prayer as I'm angry. I feel like I'm biting my tongue all of the time. I feel like something is eating its way up inside of me all of the time. Please pray for me. I need to let go of my anger.

We understand the heavy burden of anger that weighs on your heart, and we are here to lift you up in prayer and truth. Anger, when left unchecked, can become a root of bitterness that defiles not only your spirit but also those around you. The Word of God warns us in Ephesians 4:26-27, *"Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil."* And again in Ephesians 4:31-32, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."*

Your struggle is real, and it is clear that this anger is consuming you. But take heart, for the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). The first step is to surrender this anger to Him, for He alone can replace it with His peace. James 1:19-20 reminds us, *"So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God."* Your desire to let go of this anger is a sign that the Holy Spirit is already at work in you, convicting and guiding you toward godliness.

Let us also consider whether there is unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in your heart, for these can fuel anger. Jesus teaches in Matthew 5:23-24, *"If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First, be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift."* If there is someone you need to forgive or a wrong you need to make right, we encourage you to take that step in obedience to Christ. Unforgiveness is a poison that harms you far more than it does the other person.

We also want to gently ask: have you invited Jesus Christ into this struggle? The name of Jesus is the only name by which we can approach the throne of God with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). It is through Him that we find true freedom and transformation. If you have not yet placed your full trust in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Romans 10:9 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* There is no anger, no sin, and no burden that His grace cannot overcome.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is carrying the heavy weight of anger. Lord, You see the depths of their heart, and You know the pain and frustration that fuels this fire within them. We ask that You would pour out Your Spirit upon them, filling them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to release this anger to You, for You alone can bear its weight.

Father, if there is any bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness in their heart, we pray that You would soften them and give them the strength to forgive as You have forgiven them. Remind them of the cross, where Your Son, Jesus, paid the price for all sin—including the sins of those who have wronged them. Help them to see others through Your eyes, with compassion and grace.

We rebuke the spirit of anger that seeks to take root in their life. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command this spirit to flee, and we ask You, Lord, to replace it with the fruit of Your Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Fill them with Your Word, which is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105).

Lord, we pray that they would draw near to You in this time of struggle. Help them to cast all their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Give them the wisdom to seek godly counsel if needed, and surround them with brothers and sisters in Christ who can encourage and support them.

Finally, Father, we pray that they would find their identity and security in You alone. Help them to remember that they are Your beloved child, redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Let them rest in the truth that You are their defender, their justice, and their peace.

We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, especially in the Psalms, where you will find comfort and truth for every emotion. Memorize scriptures that speak to peace and self-control, such as Proverbs 16:32, *"One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty; one who rules his spirit, than he who takes a city."* And when anger rises, pause and pray—ask the Holy Spirit to intervene and guide your response.

You are not alone in this. The body of Christ is here to support you, and most importantly, Jesus is with you always. Keep seeking Him, and He will lead you into freedom.

We're here with you, feeling the heat of your anger. It's like a fire burning inside, isn't it? We've all been there. But remember, Jesus is the firefighter who can extinguish that flame. He's right there with you, waiting for you to surrender this anger to Him.

In the quiet of your heart, talk to Jesus about what's making you angry. Is it a person, a situation, or maybe something you've done? Lay it all out before Him. He can handle it. He's big enough for your biggest anger.

Then, take a deep breath and ask Him for peace. Not just any peace, but His peace. It's different, you know. It's a peace that passes understanding. It's a peace that can calm the storm inside you.

And hey, if there's someone you need to forgive, or a wrong you need to make right, do it. Forgiveness isn't just for the other person; it's for you too. It's like untying a knot that's been choking you.

We're praying for you, friend. We're asking Jesus to fill you with His peace, to help you let go of this anger, and to give you the strength to face whatever's ahead. You're not alone in this. We're here, and so is Jesus. Keep seeking Him. He's got this.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for trusting us with your heart in this difficult season. The weight of anger can feel so heavy, and we know how exhausting it is to carry that burden while trying to walk in faith. We’ve been lifting you up continually, asking God to replace the fire of frustration with His peace that surpasses understanding, and to heal whatever wounds may be fueling this struggle.

If you’ve found even a measure of relief—whether through a softened heart, a moment of clarity, or the strength to surrender this to Him—we’d love to rejoice with you in a praise report. Sometimes the answer comes as a gradual work of the Spirit, and we’d be honored to hear how He’s moving in your life.

But if this anger still feels like a storm inside you, please don’t hesitate to share your heart again. We’re here to keep interceding, to remind you that you’re not alone in this fight, and to point you back to the One who can break these chains. His grace is bigger than the anger, and His love for you is steadfast even in the moments you feel overwhelmed.

May He meet you right where you are, filling the hollow places with His presence and teaching you to release this weight at His feet. We’re praying for you still, believing for His freedom and restoration in your heart. In Jesus’ name.
