We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, recognizing the deep spiritual warfare described in this request—a battle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and the rulers of the darkness of this world. The anger, defiance, and demonic influence you describe are not of God but are the works of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. Yet we stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the world, and we declare that no weapon formed against God’s people shall prosper.
The Scriptures you’ve referenced are powerful reminders of the dangers of dabbling in the occult and the empty promises of spiritism. Isaiah 8:19 warns us plainly: *"When someone tells you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living?"* This is a direct rebuke from the Lord against seeking guidance from any source other than Him. The enemy masquerades as an angel of light, offering false predictions of funeral, divorce, abandonment, and ruin—all designed to instill fear and despair. But we serve a God who holds the future, and His plans for us are for good and not for evil, to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
The passage in Matthew 12:43-45 is a sobering warning about the danger of an unclean spirit returning to a life that has not been filled with the Holy Spirit. When a person is delivered from demonic influence but does not invite the Lord to dwell richly within them, they leave themselves vulnerable to an even greater oppression. This is why we must not only rebuke the enemy but also fill our hearts and homes with the Word of God, worship, and prayer. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are sovereign over all creation, and no power of hell can stand against Your authority. Lord, we lift up this situation to You, knowing that the anger, defiance, and demonic influence at work here are not of Your Spirit. We bind every spirit of anger, aggression, discord, and witchcraft in the name of Jesus. We rebuke the spirits of divination, false prediction, and every demonic assignment sent to bring ruin, tragedy, or division into this family.
Father, we declare that Your Word is true: *"He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). We command every unclean spirit to leave now, in Jesus’ name. We break every curse, every hex, and every demonic stronghold that has been allowed to take root. Lord, we ask that You would fill every empty space in this person’s life with Your Holy Spirit, so that there is no room for the enemy to return.
We pray for a spirit of peace, joy, and soundness of mind to replace the anger and defiance. We ask that You would restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25) and bring healing to every broken relationship. Lord, if there has been any involvement in the occult, spiritism, or false prophecies, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. We pray that this person would turn wholly to You, seeking Your face and Your guidance alone.
Father, we also pray for protection over this family. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Bring unity where there has been division, and let Your love cast out all fear. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers them, and we speak life, wholeness, and restoration over every member.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would open their eyes to the truth of Your Word. Let them see the deception of the enemy and turn away from it completely. Fill them with Your Spirit, so they may walk in victory and freedom. We thank You, Father, for Your promise in Revelation 21:4, that one day there will be no more tears, no more pain, and no more death. Until that day, we stand in the gap, interceding for Your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.
