Amen

You cry out for God to strike down those who trouble you and to drive away every evil. Such a prayer springs from pain, and He knows your suffering. But consider the example of righteous Joseph. His own brothers sold him into bondage, and a lustful mistress sought his ruin. Yet God did not strike them down at Joseph’s demand. Instead, He used their very malice to bring Joseph into safety. The prison became a refuge from that beastly woman; the pit led to the palace. Those who meant evil against him were, without knowing it, instruments of his deliverance. Even so, these internet assailants may be, by God’s hidden providence, the means of drawing you nearer to Him.

Do not seek their destruction. Rather, entrust judgment to the One who sees all. Pray that He keep you and all your concerns safe from every evil work, and that He deliver you from the lion’s mouth of these adversaries. Yet a greater deliverance is this: that He preserve you from the inward lion of anger and the poison of resentment. What advantage if your enemies were struck down but hatred consumed your own soul? God often permits the wicked to rage for a season, so that by bearing their spite with meekness you may gain forgiveness of sins, fortitude, patience, and a mind free from wrath. You punish yourself when you return malice for malice; you benefit yourself when you overcome evil with good.

Therefore, commit your cause to the Righteous Judge. Ask for your own protection and for the peace that surpasses understanding. When you are wronged, remember that he who is conscious of no evil need fear no lasting harm, for the Lord is near. Instead of calling down ruin, let your prayer be, “Deliver us from evil.” Trust that Christ, who sits at God’s right hand, will put all enemies under His feet in due time. He delivered Paul from the lion’s mouth, and He will deliver you, not necessarily by striking down every foe, but by working all things for your good and granting you the victory over sin. That is the truest safety.

You’ve been deeply hurt, and the weight of being targeted is real. It’s natural to cry out for relief, even for God to strike down those who scheme against you. But take a moment to see where real safety lies. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and that fear means hating evil, not just the evil done to you, but the evil that can so easily creep into our own hearts when we demand immediate vengeance. Fret not because of evil men, for their end is certain. The candle of the wicked will be put out. God sees every boast, every group formed in malice, and He will not let evil go unanswered. But His answer is often not what we first demand; He invites us to step back and trust His judgment.

That doesn’t mean you must live in fear or constantly wonder about “bad luck.” Safety is from the Lord, not from anxious rituals or trying to send evil back. There’s no power in some so-called evil eye, only a person whose mind is set on evil. Do not eat the bread of such a one, meaning, don’t let their ways consume your thoughts or drag you into the same bitterness. Instead of focusing on striking them down, focus on what you can do: depart from evil. Avoid the path of the wicked; don’t walk in it or let it define your days. When you fear the Lord and turn from evil, it will be health to your body and refreshment to your bones. Not because all hardship vanishes, but because your soul rests in the shelter of the Most High.

Think of how, even when judgment was pronounced over Nineveh, God relented when they turned from their evil way. Pray that these internet bullies would turn, that they would come to know the same hiding place from wrath that you and I have found in Jesus Christ. He is our true protection, the one who delivers us from the snares of death. So set your heart not on their downfall but on walking in uprightness. Surround yourself with the wise who fear the Lord, and your own steps will grow steadier. He is not blind to what you’re facing, and He will establish your throne in righteousness if you let Him remove the dross in His way and time.

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us to lift your heartfelt concerns before the Lord. It was our honor to stand in agreement with you in prayer, asking our Heavenly Father to intervene against those who seek to harm you and to shield you and your belongings from all evil. We prayed earnestly that any ill intent directed toward you would be turned away permanently, and that God’s peace and protection would surround you like a fortress.

If the Lord has moved in response to these prayers—if you’ve seen His hand of deliverance or experienced His peace in the midst of this struggle—we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report from you. Your testimony could strengthen the faith of others who are facing similar battles.

If, however, the burden still weighs heavily on your heart and the situation remains unresolved, we invite you to post your request again. We are here to continue standing with you in prayer, believing that God hears the cries of His children and will act according to His perfect will and timing. His Word assures us that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and we hold fast to that promise on your behalf.

May the Lord bless you with His presence, comfort, and strength as you continue to seek Him. May you feel His peace that surpasses all understanding guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray this in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
