Amen

We hear your cry for help and lift your concerns before the throne of grace. First, let us address the idea of "luck." Scripture teaches us that our lives are not governed by chance or fortune, but by the sovereign will of God. Proverbs 16:33 tells us, "The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from Yahweh." Instead of seeking luck, we encourage you to seek the Lord and His righteousness, trusting that He will provide for your needs according to His perfect plan. Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."

We also want to gently remind you that our access to God is only through the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is only by believing in Jesus Christ, confessing Him as Lord, and repenting of our sins that we can be saved and have a personal relationship with God. If you have not yet made this decision, we encourage you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Now, let us come together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would draw near to them and reveal Yourself in a powerful way. Lord, we ask that You would replace their desire for luck with a deep hunger and thirst for You and Your righteousness. Help them to trust in Your sovereign plan for their life, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

Father, we pray for Your divine protection over this precious one. Surround them with Your angels and keep them safe from all harm and danger. Psalm 91:11-12 assures us, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." Lord, we claim this promise over their life today.

We also pray for their spiritual well-being. If they have not yet made a decision to follow Jesus Christ, we ask that You would soften their heart and open their eyes to see their need for a Savior. Draw them to Yourself and help them to understand the depth of Your love and the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ, on the cross for their sins.

Lord, we ask that You would provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Dear one, we encourage you to spend time in God's Word daily, as it is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can encourage and support you in your walk with Christ. Remember that God loves you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3) and has a wonderful plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust in Him with all your heart, leaning not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We hear that deep desire for things to turn around and the simple, urgent need just to feel safe. When life feels like a series of events we can't control, the word "luck" can be how we describe our longing for God's kindness to break through in real, practical ways. We're sitting with you in that, and we want you to know that it matters that you brought this here.

Sometimes when we feel constantly on edge or buffeted by circumstances, our bodies and minds are carrying a heavy load of anxiety. If that worry or the sense of being unsafe has been weighing on you for a while, it’s okay to treat that as seriously as you would a physical ache. Seeing a doctor or a counselor about persistent anxiety isn't a sign of weak faith, it's part of stewarding the whole self God gave you. Even a short conversation can start to untangle what feels like a storm.

As you ask God to keep you safe and change things for the better, consider one small, steady action you can take today that builds a sense of stability, maybe a walk, a set bedtime, or a calm conversation with a trusted friend. These aren't solutions in themselves, but they are ways we cooperate with God's care for our bodies and minds while we wait for him to move. He sees what you cannot, and he is not indifferent to your need for protection and a different future.

Please, Lord, for the one who asked this: bring a deep, felt sense of safety right where they are, and in your timing, open new doors they could never force open themselves. Give them steady ground under their feet and wisdom for whatever small next step helps them rest in your care tonight. In Jesus' name.

This cry for a change in luck must be turned at once to the only source of true blessing. No man gets a blessing from God through his "good luck", it all comes according to the eternal purpose of God which He purposed before the earth was. The double blessing of grace and peace comes from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Cast yourself upon that eternal purpose. Seek not a turn of fortune’s wheel but a new heart from the hand that made heaven and earth.

You ask to be kept safe. The safest place for a sinner is at the foot of the cross, washed in the fountain opened for sin and uncleanness. God can totally change you and make you as though you had been new-born, tonight, and were now to begin afresh. There is a clean way devised, simple and blood-bought. This is the change we need, the taking away of the stone, the giving of the heart of flesh. When He speaks into your darkness, the gloom of despair must yield. Has He not promised, “From all your filthiness will I cleanse you, and from all your idols will I cleanse you”? This is not luck; this is covenant blessing, and God will not suffer one single promise of it to be unfulfilled.

If you would have this safety, you must first have the personal blessing. “I will bless you,” must ring in your soul by faith in Jesus Christ before you can so much as taste the peace you long for. Bow your head and let the Lord God pronounce on you this benediction. Sorrowing, suffering, weary, burdened, yet receive it as from God’s own mouth. In that same hour, like the jailor, you shall set meat before you and rejoice, believing in God with all your house. Then shall every true testimony of your life bring glory to God and blessing to men, and the murmuring spirit shall be ejected by the spirit of thankfulness.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pray for luck and for safety, but consider what true blessing is. The world calls luck the random turn of events, yet nothing is random under God’s providence. He commands the earth to bring forth fruit, not chance. So why ask for luck when you may ask for grace? Seek first the spiritual blessings that come through Christ: righteousness, sonship, the hope of immortality. These are the blessings that endure, not the fleeting comforts of this life, which even the wicked often enjoy. Jacob had few and evil days as a hireling, while his brother lived in ease, yet the promise was fulfilled in the world to come. If you cling to carnal safety, you may miss the eternal safety of the soul.

Do not serve mammon by measuring your good by earthly fortune. God indeed cares for your body; He feeds the ravens and clothes the lilies. But His highest care is to make you a fellow-heir with Christ. In the world you will have tribulation, but in Him safety that no evil can touch. Pray rather: Lord, give me strength to endure, a heart that loves virtue, and a will that does not fear what man or chance can do. Turn your supplication toward good deeds: visit the prisoner, clothe the naked, share your table with the poor who can repay you with spiritual counsel. Such alms bring a blessing far greater than silver could buy. For when you give, you lay up treasure where no thief approaches and where no ill luck can steal it away. Then you will find that you are truly safe, guarded by the One who is unchangeable and whose years do not fail.

You ask God to change your luck, and I understand the ache behind that prayer. We all long for things to turn out well, for trouble to pass us by, for tomorrow to be better than today. But the Scriptures never direct us to seek luck. Luck is an impersonal force, blind and random. The living God who made you is neither blind nor random. He knows you completely, even better than you know yourself. Before you were ever born, He saw every need you would face today. So you are not at the mercy of chance; you are held in the hands of a Father who is both willing and able to care for you.

The question is not whether God can bring good into your life, but what that good truly is. Sometimes we ask for one thing, and He, in His wisdom, gives us something far better, though it may look different from what we imagined. Looking back, many can say that His “no” was a greater mercy than a “yes” would have been. True prayer begins with His purpose, not ours. It is learning to want what He wants, to trust His will when we cannot see the outcome.

I hear in your words a desire for safety, and that is a natural cry. The world can be a dangerous place, and the future is uncertain. Yet lasting safety is not found in favorable circumstances. It is found in being hidden in Christ. Through His resurrection, we receive not a guarantee of an easy life, but a clean conscience and the promise that nothing can separate us from His love. You are not merely a body to be protected; you are a soul destined for glory, and God is more committed to your eternal good than to your temporary comfort.

So I encourage you: bring your anxieties and your hopes to the Lord, but let your mind be renewed by His Word. Do not be conformed to the world’s way of thinking, which chases luck and clings to visible security. Instead, entrust yourself to the One who governs every detail of history, the same God who once moved an emperor to order a census, just to place a young couple in the right village at the right time for the birth of the Savior. He is still ordering things for His purposes, and for the good of those who love Him. Rest there, and let your prayer become not just “keep me safe,” but “let Your will be done, and make me faithful in it.”
