Venture, my Sister, down into your little family without having called upon God for guidance and see what you will do! The fat need Jesus as much as the lean, the strong as much as the feeble, for none can do without Him, "none can keep alive his own soul." There is no need to wait upon God for direction in so simple a matter, for I am well up in every particular relating to it and I can manage the affair very well, this is the fool's thought, yet so natural to us. You have need of healing, indeed! Do not think this trial beneath His notice; Christ is the Friend of sinners in their time of need. Test Him as often as need arises. There is nothing like putting Christ to the test! Draw near to Him with this burden of two small creatures and a suffering child, and you go and you will find His peace abounds in the hour of need. God grant that family prayer may be more regarded, that in your family the saved ones may be as Noah and his sons and his wife, and that private prayer may be more diligently and more spiritually maintained, for how blessed is the Truth that our Lord Jesus has obtained eternal salvation through His one offering, and He will not fail His own.
