We come before You, Heavenly Father, with hearts full of gratitude for the privilege to intercede on behalf of these precious children, families, and individuals. Your Word reminds us in James 5:16, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." We stand in the gap, lifting up each request with faith, knowing that You hear and answer according to Your perfect will.
Father, we pray for every child represented here, that they would grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with You and man, just as Jesus did in Luke 2:52. Grant them discernment to recognize Your voice amidst the noise of this world and revelation to understand Your purpose for their lives. Protect their minds from the lies of the enemy, and let them walk in the freedom and wholeness that comes only through Christ. We rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and confusion that seeks to steal their peace, and we declare that they will have sound minds and right attitudes, rooted in Your truth. May they resist every evil influence and destructive behavior, standing firm on the foundation of Your Word.
We lift up the marriages represented here, Lord, and we ask that You strengthen them according to Your design. Your Word declares in Genesis 2:24, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." We pray that husbands and wives would honor this sacred covenant, loving one another as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). Rescue them from dangerous situations, open doors of provision, and surround them with godly support. Heal their hearts from past wounds, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). For the young single mother facing abuse from an ex on meth, we cry out for Your divine intervention. Protect her and her children from harm, and grant her the courage to seek safety and justice. Provide her with the resources and community she needs to thrive, and let her experience Your love in tangible ways.
We also lift up those who do not yet know You, including the family members mentioned here. Lord, we ask that You draw them to Yourself with cords of loving kindness (Hosea 11:4). We pray that You would restore their physical and emotional health, and help them to eat healthily and exercise as an act of stewardship over the body You have given them. Reveal their spiritual gifts, and give them opportunities to use them for Your glory. Prepare their heart for a healthy marriage, one that honors You and reflects Your love.
Father, we ask for Your protection over all travels and destinations. Your Word promises in Psalm 91:11, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." We claim this promise over every journey, trusting that You will keep them safe from harm. Grant them favor in every place they go, and let them be a light for Your kingdom wherever they are.
We commit these families to You, Lord, asking that You would unite them in love and purpose. You ask for healing and protection, for wholeness of body and mind, for the salvation of those who do not yet know Him. These cries find their answer in one place alone. The leaves of the true arbor vitae, our Lord Jesus Christ, are for the healing of the nations. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things, as it were, about Christ, are full of healing virtue. The very leaves are healing, from which I gather that the least thing about Christ is healing. Bring the heart palpitations, the depression, the panic, the difficult emotions, these healing leaves change the life blood, affect the spirits and make the nature other than it was before. There is, then, an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation.
Yet healing of the body and mind is but the smallest leaf. The great matter is the salvation of the soul. For this reason, I feel I must preach over and over again the plain Gospel of salvation by Divine Grace through faith in Christ Jesus! Faith must be urged upon you, for without it there is no salvation. You plead for your son and his children to enter a real relationship with the Lord. The way of salvation is to believe on Christ, whom God has laid in Zion for a foundation. What is believing on Him? It is trusting in Him. This faith is believing on a Person, "He that believes on, it"? No! On, "Him." Leave the whole matter of your salvation with Him in unquestioning confidence. Depend upon Him without fear as to your present and eternal salvation. This is the faith which saves the soul.

Here is salvation for the blackest of sinners, salvation for all manner of sin, forgiveness for all manner of sin, salvation so full of grace that only God could have conceived it. “Who is a pardoning God like thee?” It is a salvation devised and provided by God which manifests and glorifies God! It is a salvation which is Godlike, being both just and gracious! It is great beyond conception! In a word, it is God's salvation. The only salvation that is worth being our own is that which is God's. "I will rejoice in thy salvation." It was his in the planning. None but himself could have planned it.
You desire your family to study the Bible and pray together, for your children to grow in wisdom, resist evil, and walk into the future God has for them. The blessing which God gave to the jailor’s children by hearing, he gives in the same way to other children. Let the little ones be brought to hear the Gospel. By the bliss of a united family, I beseech you seek after it that you may have that united family in heaven. For this is the last question, “Will my family be there?” Will yours be there?
