Faithfully Yours

Disciple of Prayer
I find myself wondering whether the dreams I’m pursuing are truly my own or part of the Father’s plan for my life. Living here in what I once considered my dream country has been more difficult than I imagined. I question whether I should keep persevering toward my goals or if it’s time to let go, because I’m exhausted and my savings are slowly running out. What I long for most right now is alignment with the Lord’s will. Yet even as I knock on heaven’s door every day, it feels like the doors remain closed.

We hear your heart’s cry for clarity and alignment with the Father’s will, and we stand with you in seeking His wisdom and direction. The struggle to discern whether our dreams are truly from Him or simply our own desires is a deeply human one, and it’s clear you are wrestling with this in a spirit of humility and surrender. The exhaustion you feel is real, and the financial strain only adds to the weight of uncertainty. Yet even in this place of questioning, your longing to walk in God’s purpose is a beautiful testament to your faith.

First, we want to remind you that seeking the Lord’s will is not a passive endeavor—it is an active, daily pursuit. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* You are already doing this by knocking on heaven’s door, even when it feels like silence is the only response. The Lord often works in seasons of waiting, not to withhold His answers, but to refine our trust in Him. Remember, too, that His timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t align with our own. As Isaiah 55:8-9 says, *"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."*

We must also gently ask: Are the dreams you’re pursuing rooted in God’s Word and His character? Sometimes our desires, even those that feel noble, can become idols if they are not surrendered to Him. Jeremiah 29:11 is often quoted, but it’s important to remember the context—God’s plans for His people were revealed after a season of exile and waiting. His promises are yes and amen, but they are not always immediate. Have you sought wise, godly counsel from those who know you and love the Lord? Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* Sometimes the Lord uses the wisdom of others to confirm or redirect our steps.

As for the practical struggles you face—exhaustion, dwindling savings, and the weight of persevering—we want to encourage you with the truth that the Lord is your provider. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This doesn’t mean He will always give us what we *want*, but He will always provide what we *need* to walk in His will. Have you considered that this season of financial strain might be an opportunity to depend on Him in new ways? Perhaps He is teaching you to trust Him not just for direction, but for daily bread.

We also want to gently rebuke any lie that may be creeping in—that the closed doors you’re experiencing are a sign of God’s absence or displeasure. The Lord often uses closed doors to protect us, redirect us, or prepare us for something greater. In Acts 16:6-7, Paul and his companions were *"forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia"* and *"the Spirit didn’t allow them"* to go into Bithynia. They didn’t understand it at the time, but God was leading them to Macedonia, where a great harvest awaited. What feels like a delay or a dead end may simply be the Lord rerouting you toward His best.

Now, let us pray with you and for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is seeking Your will with a heart of surrender. Lord, You see the exhaustion, the financial strain, and the weight of uncertainty they carry. We ask that You would renew their strength, as You promise in Isaiah 40:31: *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* Father, we pray that You would open their eyes to see the doors You *are* opening, even if they look different from what they expected.

Lord, we ask that You would give them clarity and peace as they seek Your will. If the dreams they are pursuing are not from You, we pray that You would gently redirect their heart toward Your plans. If these dreams *are* from You, we ask that You would give them the perseverance to press on, even when the path is difficult. Remind them that You are their provider, their sustainer, and their guide. Help them to trust that You are working all things together for their good, even when they cannot see it.

Father, we also pray that You would protect them from discouragement and doubt. When the enemy whispers lies about their worth or Your faithfulness, remind them of Your truth. Let them hear Your voice above all others, saying, *"This is the way. Walk in it."* Surround them with godly community that can speak wisdom and encouragement into their life.

Above all, Lord, we pray that they would know You more deeply in this season. May this time of waiting draw them closer to Your heart, and may they find joy in Your presence, even amid uncertainty. We trust that You are writing a story far greater than they could imagine, and we ask that You would help them to walk in faith, one step at a time.

In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Friend, we want to leave you with this encouragement: The Lord is not silent, even when it feels like He is. Keep seeking Him, keep knocking, and keep trusting that He is at work. You are not alone in this journey, and we believe that He will make His will clear in His perfect timing. Until then, rest in the knowledge that He loves you, He sees you, and He is holding you in the palm of His hand.

We're right there with you, friend, as you navigate this path of uncertainty. It's like you're in the thick of a dense forest, the direction unclear, but you're pressing on, seeking the Lord's will with all your heart. We want you to know that even when it feels like the doors are closed and the path is obscured, the Lord is still guiding you, step by step.

Remember the story of Moses at the burning bush? God told him to take off his sandals because he was standing on holy ground. Moses didn't see it, but God was there, in that ordinary place, making it extraordinary. Sometimes, we too need to take off our spiritual sandals, to recognize the holiness of the ground we're standing on, even when it doesn't look like much.

Keep knocking on heaven's door, friend. Keep seeking the Lord's face. He sees you, He hears you, and He's working behind the scenes, even when you can't see it. Trust that His timing is perfect, and His plans are always for your good.

And remember, you're not alone. We're here, praying with you, believing with you, that the Lord will make His will clear in His perfect timing. Keep taking one step at a time, and trust that He's got you in the palm of His hand. You're in our thoughts and prayers, every step of the way.

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.
