Servant
There is power in prayer (James 5:16)!

In August 2024, God answered my prayer and opened the door for me to go back to Alaska. I went to Alaska with no place to live in no car to drive. I had a teaching job.

I had pleaded with God to go back to Alaska because my wife had left me and stolen my children. She used the courts and lied or her lawyer lied convincing the judge. I was 5000 miles away.

I have probably prayed for my wife 1 million times. Anyone that believes in God in Christ, I asked to pray if they will for me and my family so far, nothing has happened that I can see.

I move back to Alaska and I have suffered tremendously since I’ve been back. First, I deeply and sincerely miss my children with every ounce of my being. I often dream about them and wake up crying.

I’ve lost two really good paying job jobs due to no fault on my own. I have not had a regular job since June 16, 2025.

I have been inconsistent in my living. I’ve been in Alaska over 18 months and I’ve not paid one dollar in rent. I don’t say that to brag rather I say that to glorify God. I have not lived in luxury, but I have lived rent free.

Today is Monday, February 23, 2026. Here is my dilemma.

Housing

On March 5, I have to move out of my studio apartment. I can stay here but it will cost me $1500. It’s a lot of money. The VA has paid for my last four months. I don’t know what to do.

I am praying fervently. I have seriously contemplated going back to Texas and staying with my father. He just turned 83 back in late January. I’ve not seen him in two years. However, if I go back, I have no car and no job.

Job/income source

I’ve been doing gig work since June 16 when I lost my job. I have learned how to do it in such a way that I can make a full-time living doing it. However, my old van broke down last November and I rented a car until a few weeks ago. The rental cars went from $28 a day up to over $100 a day.

The only way I can make money right now is doing gig work. I’m so thankful to God for it. However, I do fear my van breaking down. If it does, I have no way of making money.

I am amazed at the provision of God.

A few days ago, I went out and worked three hours and made $165. Last night, I went out for three hours and made approximately $200 that is not normal. It is a blessing of God.

In Alaska… Here is something I have learned. God’s provision has sustained me as the Lord taught in Matthew 6:33. God has provided me with housing, clothing, and food.

I need prayers.

I continue to hope and pray that my wife will come to her senses and seek to reconcile.

I have not done anything except pray. I have trusted God to do what is necessary to bring my wife back to me.

I’ve committed to God to forgive my wife and not bring up the past. I’ve committed to God that I would forgive her and be the best husband and father I can be.

I can only imagine the joy of my wife contacting me. I often dream of my wife. I often imagine meeting her at a stoplight or at a store or some other place.

I ask God often for wisdom. God, do you want me to do this or that… I’m so tempted to do something, but I made a decision three years ago to put everything in God’s hands and so far, I have done that.

I believe that God brought me back to Alaska. Going back to Texas seems to make all of this time in Alaska waste.

I have actually tried to leave Alaska many times. It seems like every opportunity that appeared to pave the way for me to leave was suddenly shut down. It’s like God wants me to stay here.

Here is what I know…

God knows what we need before we ask. He is fully aware of our condition. That reality gives me a lot of strength because no one else knows my condition right now except for me and God.

God knows my pain. He knows the tears that I have shed. He knows. He knows. He knows.

I am highly educated and have the ability to work. I’m a navy veteran. I know guy can open up any job if he chooses.

Thank you for praying for me

I can only imagine the joy that I would feel. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. I often pray that my joy will happen soon and I can only imagine what it would feel like to have my wife come back to me.

Thank you, God for everything you’ve done for me.

We hear your heart, brother, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting your burdens before the throne of grace. Your story is one of deep pain, unwavering faith, and remarkable trust in the Lord’s provision—even when the path ahead seems uncertain. We rejoice with you in the ways God has opened doors, provided shelter, and sustained you through gig work, even as we grieve with you over the separation from your children and the brokenness of your marriage. The Lord sees every tear you’ve shed, and He collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). You are not forgotten.

First, we must address the foundational truth that anchors all our prayers: salvation and access to the Father come only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is by His blood alone that we are reconciled to God, and it is in His authority that we pray. We encourage you to continue lifting every request to the Father in Jesus’ name, for He is our mediator and advocate (1 Timothy 2:5, 1 John 2:1).

Now, let us rebuke the enemy’s schemes in this situation. The lies, deception, and injustice you faced in the courts are not of God. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came that you might have life abundantly. We bind the spirit of division, bitterness, and false testimony in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we pray for the Lord to expose any unrighteousness and bring true justice to your case. The Lord is a God of justice, and He will not forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

We also lift up your marriage before the Lord. Your commitment to forgive, to trust God for reconciliation, and to remain faithful to your vows is a powerful testimony. Scripture is clear that marriage is a covenant before God, and what He has joined together, let no man separate (Matthew 19:6). We pray that your wife’s heart would be softened, that the Holy Spirit would convict her of sin, and that she would repent and seek restoration. However, we must also caution you: reconciliation must be God’s work, not yours alone. You have done well to commit to forgiveness and to trust the Lord, but you cannot control her response. If she remains unrepentant, you must prepare your heart for the possibility that God’s plan may not include restoration in this life. That does not mean He has abandoned you—it may mean He is leading you into a new season of purpose.

Your housing and financial struggles weigh heavily on us. The Lord has indeed provided for you in miraculous ways, and we thank Him for the shelter, food, and clothing He has given. Yet we also cry out for stability. Father, we ask You to open a door for this brother—whether it be affordable housing, a reliable vehicle, or a steady job. You are the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too hard for You. We declare that He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We also pray for wisdom as you consider returning to Texas. If the Lord is calling you to stay in Alaska, we ask that He make that clear and provide the means to do so. If He is calling you elsewhere, we ask that He pave the way with provision and peace.

Your grief over your children is heartbreaking, and we join you in praying for their return to your life. The Lord is a Father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5), and He hears the cries of the brokenhearted. We pray that He would protect your children, draw them to Himself, and restore your relationship with them. We also ask that He would give you opportunities to demonstrate Christ’s love to them, even from a distance. Father, we ask that You would turn their hearts toward their father and toward You.

We must also address the temptation to take matters into your own hands. You have done well to surrender control to the Lord, but the enemy will try to whisper lies—"God isn’t moving fast enough," "You need to do something," or "This will never change." We rebuke those lies in Jesus’ name. The Lord’s timing is perfect, and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). We encourage you to continue seeking Him in prayer and fasting, to meditate on His Word, and to surround yourself with godly community. Do not isolate yourself, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17).

Finally, we pray for your emotional and spiritual strength. The nights may feel long, but joy *will* come in the morning (Psalm 30:5). We declare that the Lord is your strength and your shield (Psalm 28:7), and that He will renew your strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). You are not defined by your circumstances but by your identity in Christ. You are chosen, loved, and called for a purpose.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother to You, knowing that You see his pain, his struggles, and his unwavering faith. Lord, we thank You for the ways You have provided for him—shelter, food, work, and the strength to endure. We ask that You would continue to sustain him, to open doors of provision, and to give him wisdom for the days ahead.

Father, we pray for his marriage. We ask that You would soften his wife’s heart, convict her of sin, and draw her to repentance. If it is Your will, Lord, restore their marriage and reunite their family. But if not, give our brother the grace to accept Your plan and the strength to walk in forgiveness and peace. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and we bind every spirit of division, bitterness, and deception in Jesus’ name.

Lord, we cry out for his children. Protect them, draw them to You, and restore their relationship with their father. Give him opportunities to show them Your love, even from afar. Father, we also ask for stability in his housing and finances. Provide affordable shelter, a reliable vehicle, and steady work. If You are calling him to stay in Alaska, make that clear and provide the means. If You are calling him elsewhere, pave the way with provision and peace.

Above all, Lord, we pray that You would fill him with Your joy and peace. Remind him that he is not alone, that You are with him, and that Your plans for him are good. Strengthen his faith, deepen his trust in You, and use his testimony to bring glory to Your name.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Brother, you are not forgotten. The Lord is working, even when you cannot see it. Keep your eyes on Him, trust in His promises, and hold fast to the hope you have in Christ. The road may be difficult, but you do not walk it alone. We stand with you in prayer, and we believe that God is moving on your behalf.

We're here for you, brother. We've been following your journey and we're amazed at your resilience and faith in the face of such adversity. It's clear that God has been with you every step of the way, providing for your needs and sustaining you.

We join you in praying for your wife and children. We ask God to soften her heart, to convict her of her sins, and to draw her to repentance. We pray for your children, that they would know the love of their father and the love of God. We ask God to protect them, to draw them to Himself, and to reunite your family if it be His will.

We also lift up your financial and housing situation before the Lord. We ask Him to provide for your needs, to open doors of provision, and to give you wisdom for the days ahead. If He is calling you to stay in ###, we ask Him to make that clear and to provide the means for you to do so. If He is calling you elsewhere, we ask Him to pave the way with provision and peace.

We want to remind you that God sees you, He knows your pain, and He is with you. He is working in your life, even when you can't see it. Keep your eyes on Him, trust in His promises, and hold fast to the hope you have in Christ.

You are not alone, brother. We stand with you in prayer, and we believe that God is moving on your behalf. Keep fighting the good fight, and remember that joy comes in the morning.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
