Humble Prayer Warrior
Today is my birthday!

I am mentally and physically exhausted.

My wife left me in 2022 and then stole my children. We had been working in Alaska, but my contract was complete.

I went back to Texas to set up our new home and started a job. I had my two sons. My wife and daughter were about to leave to go overseas to visit family.

I pleaded with God to take me back to Alaska and he finally opened the door in August 2024. I moved to Alaska walking by faith and up by sight. I had very little money and no place to live and no car to drive.

The last year has been very difficult. I’ve lost four jobs due to various reasons, not my fault. I’ve been homeless. I lived in my van. I lived in the shelter 4.5 months. I’m exhausted.

I miss my wife and children deeply and dearly. God, please give me strength.

Please pray for me:

Family reconciliation
New job
Place to live that’s comfortable
Strength

I’m trying so hard to cope, but it’s not easy. I’m not suicidal but I do wish God would come and get me.

People say God is near the brokenhearted and he keeps our tears in a bottle, but dear friends I am so exhausted. I need more than my tears collected in a bottle.
God, please help me.

Yes, I am a Christian. I just need prayers because I’m weak right now.

We lift you up before the Lord on your birthday, ###, and we are deeply moved by the weight of suffering you have carried these past years. Your pain is heard, and your tears are seen by the Father who loves you. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18), and He has not forgotten you. Though you feel exhausted and alone, He is your strength in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9-10), and He will sustain you.

First, we must address the state of your marriage. The Bible is clear that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), and yet we know that sometimes separation occurs due to the hardness of hearts. Your longing for reconciliation with your wife and children is understandable, but we must pray for God’s will above all. If your wife has abandoned the marriage, Scripture teaches that a believer is not bound in such cases (1 Corinthians 7:15). However, if there is any hope of restoration, it must begin with repentance and a return to the Lord. We pray that God would soften her heart and bring conviction if she has walked away from Him or from her covenant vows. If reconciliation is not possible, we pray for God’s peace and direction as you seek to honor Him in this season.

Your suffering has been immense—homelessness, job loss, separation from your children, and the deep loneliness of walking this path alone. Yet even in this, we see your faith. You pleaded with God to return to ###, and He opened the door. That is no small thing! The Lord has not brought you this far to abandon you now. He is your Provider (Philippians 4:19), and He will supply your needs—whether through a stable job, a safe place to live, or the strength to endure one more day. Remember how He fed Elijah in the wilderness (1 Kings 17:4-6) and provided manna for Israel (Exodus 16:4). He has not changed.

We also hear the weariness in your words—the wish that God would "come and get you." While we understand the depth of your sorrow, we gently remind you that your life has purpose in Christ. The apostle Paul faced such despair that he despaired even of life (2 Corinthians 1:8), yet God delivered him so that he might rely not on himself but on the God who raises the dead. Your pain is real, but so is His promise: *"I will never leave you nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5). Cling to that truth, even when your emotions scream otherwise.

As for your children, we pray for their hearts to be turned toward you and toward the Lord. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to restore. We stand against every scheme of the devil to keep your family divided and declare that God is able to redeem what has been broken. Trust Him with your children, even when you cannot see the way.

Now, let us pray for you:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, ###, who is weary and heavy-laden. Lord, You see his pain—the ache of a broken marriage, the longing for his children, the exhaustion of fighting just to survive. We ask for Your supernatural strength to uphold him today. Fill him with Your Spirit, that even in his weakness, Your power may rest upon him.

Father, we pray for reconciliation if it aligns with Your will. Soften the heart of his wife and turn her toward You. If she has hardened her heart against him, Lord, bring conviction and repentance. If this marriage cannot be restored, grant him wisdom, peace, and a clear path forward. Protect his children, Lord, and draw them to Yourself. Let no bitterness take root in their hearts, but let them know the love of a Father who will never leave them.

Provide for his needs, Lord—a stable job, a safe and comfortable home, and godly community to surround him. You are Jehovah-Jireh, the God who provides. Open doors that no man can shut and supply what he lacks. Give him favor in the eyes of employers and wisdom in his work.

Lord, when he is tempted to despair, remind him of Your faithfulness. When he feels forgotten, whisper to his heart that You are near. Renew his hope and his joy, even in this wilderness season. Let this birthday mark a turning point—a day when he senses Your presence in a fresh way.

We rebuke the spirit of weariness, depression, and hopelessness in Jesus’ name. We declare that You, Lord, are his portion and his strength. Restore to him the joy of Your salvation (Psalm 51:12) and let him rise up on wings like eagles (Isaiah 40:31).

Finally, Father, we thank You that his story is not over. You are writing redemption into his life, even now. Give him patience to wait on You and faith to believe that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28).

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen."*

###, we urge you to keep seeking the Lord daily. Read His Word, even if it’s just a verse or two. Let the psalms be your prayer when you have no words. Surround yourself with believers who can encourage you—even if it’s just a phone call or a message to a trusted friend. You are not meant to walk this alone.

And remember: *"The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know Your name will put their trust in You, for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You"* (Psalm 9:9-10).

Stand firm. He is with you.

Dear brother, we're here for you today, especially on your birthday. We know this year has been tough, but remember, God is always with you, even in the hardest times. We're praying for you, that God would give you strength, comfort, and peace. We're asking Him to soften your wife's heart, to bring your children close to you, and to provide for your needs. We believe that God is working in your life, and we're trusting Him for a turnaround. Keep holding on, brother. You're not alone.
