Alaska Afternoon ….

Humble Prayer Partner
It is 4:46 PM and 83°F.

I think 83° here as much hotter than say in the lower 48. I’m not sure but it’s hot. We are in the midst of a heat wave.

I appreciate all the prayers that people have made for me today because I have struggled through this Father’s Day. I miss my children deeply and dearly, and I had hoped that something may happen today.

One of my favorite prayers is when I go back over the last year and I praise God for all of his goodness. It’s easier to see now that I’ve lived it, but the hand of God was definitely there on many occasions.

I moved to Alaska with no car and no home.
I lost my teaching job due to no fault, 11/20.
Almost died on 12/29 in -23 F.
God redirected me from doing DoorDash.
God gave me a beautiful apartment on 1/6.
My car driving job ended on April 13.
I moved out of my apartment on May 19
I begin new management position on May 21.

At 5:30 PM, I am meeting with Ms ### to discuss living in the primitive apartment. It’s in the same house that I lived in having to move out. The primitive apartment will be free.

She is moving out Tuesday and if all goes well, I will be moving in. So, I will have a place to live for a while. My old apartment will be available again on 9/15.

My job will be much easier if I can have a comfortable bed to sleep in, a place to fix food and eat and a place to lay my clothes out after I wash them.

I know I seem weak at times, but overall my faith is strong. I just finished worship out here in the hot sun. I am almost finished reading the book of Psalms again for the month of May. I got behind because of the new job and living in the van. I will finish probably tomorrow and then start again for the month of June.

One of the greatest comforts is knowing that “Heaven Knows”. I can see me as I lay in the back of the van with mosquitoes swarming about my head. Maybe it’s a plague, ha!

I love God with all my heart. Yes, I love Jesus too. When I say God, I’m talking about the Godhead. I just remember the death of Christ by taking the Lord supper.

I honestly do not know how my wife does this.

How can she get up on Sunday and go worship knowing what she’s done to me?

How can she partake of the Lord’s supper every first day of the week knowing what she’s done to me?

She is the very epitome of proverbs 14:1. I pray God will soften her heart and bring her to her penance so that she will honor her position in this marital arrangement. I’m a very forgiving person, and I stand prepared to forgive her and love her like Christ loved the church.

Please continue to pray for my wife, ###. Please God help her to see. I believe you brought me back to Alaska for such a time is this. Please reconcile my family!

I often imagine my wife contacting me and wanting to meet for coffee or something. I imagine that meeting turning into several meetings and then finally reconciliation.

I imagine my wife having a comfortable place for me to live. I imagine hiring my wife to work in the same company that I’m working for. We start people at $24 an hour and so that would be a blessing for both of us in our family.

Imagine us building a life here together, overcoming the obstacles that Satan, no doubt put in our life.

I pray something will happen that will change everything. I’ve even promised God that if he wants me to go back and preach for the corrugation that I was at before I will go and preach for free. They don’t have to pay me anything. After all these years, I don’t think they have a preacher.

Thank you for listening and praying on my behalf. Please God hear our prayers and restore this beautiful family to your glory in honor and praise!!!

We join you in prayer, lifting up your struggles and praises to our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus. We are grateful for your testimony of God's goodness and provision over the past year. It is evident that His hand has been guiding you, even through the most challenging circumstances.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who has endured so much. We thank You for Your faithfulness in his life, providing him with a place to live, a job, and a vehicle. We are grateful for this brother's strong faith and love for You, even in the midst of trials. Help him to remain faithful to You, trusting in You as his refuge and strength as he continues to read the book of Psalms.

Lord, we pray for his wife and family. We ask that You soften her heart and bring her to repentance, so that she may honor her marital vows. We pray for the sanctity of their marriage, and the desire that she would forgive and love him as Christ loved the church. That Your will shall be done in this relationship.

We pray not the things this person desires but the things You desire. We pray You use this situation to bring glory to Your name and to bring Your will to fruition.

We rebuke the thoughts of imagining reconciliation not based on Your will or repentance. In Proverbs 14:1 WEB it says, "Every wise woman builds her house, but the foolish one tears it down with her own hands." Lord, we pray for wisdom and repentance, and that You guide this relationship according to Your will. We pray for their marriage to be restored if it is Your will, Lord, and that You would be at the center of it.

Help him to remain steadfast in You, trusting in Your promises. Guide him in his new management position, and provide him with a comfortable place to live. We ask that You continue to provide for all his needs, and that You would use him mightily for Your kingdom.

We also pray for his wife's salvation. We do not know where she stands with You. It is only through Jesus that we can approach You. So we ask for her salvation. If she knows You, we pray You bring her to repentance. There is no other name by which we must be saved. As it says in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

Finally, we pray for his desire to preach. If this is Your will, Lord, open the doors and provide the opportunities. Give him the strength and wisdom to share Your Word with boldness.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in the Lord, trusting in His promises. Continue to seek Him with all your heart, and He will guide your paths. Remember that God is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Regarding your wife and family, continue to pray for them and trust in God's timing. It is important to remember that God desires for marriages to be restored, but it must be based on His will and repentance.

We also caution you regarding your thoughts about your wife. It is important to guard your heart and mind, trusting in God's will for your life.

Lastly, we encourage you to continue your desire to preach. If it is God's will, He will open the doors and provide the opportunities. Trust in Him, and He will guide your steps.

We pray that our Heavenly Father will give you peace, strength, and wisdom as you continue to seek Him. May He bless your family and guide you all according to His will that you may bring honor and glory to His name.

It's amazing to see how God has been faithful to you, even in the midst of the heatwave and the challenges you've faced. We want to encourage you to keep seeking God with all your heart. He is faithful, and He will guide your paths. Trust in Him, and He will help you to remain steadfast in your faith. We're also praying for your wife and family. We believe that God desires for marriages to be restored, but it must be based on His will and repentance.

We want to remind you of the power of forgiveness. As you've said, you're a very forgiving person, and we believe that God will honor your willingness to forgive. We're praying that your wife will come to repentance and that your marriage will be restored according to God's will.

We also want to encourage you to continue in your desire to preach. If it is God's will, He will open the doors and provide the opportunities. Trust in Him, and He will guide your steps.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
