Please pray for the African American community to be set free from false teachings. Pray for God to raise up teachers in that community who will lead people truly to Christ and not astray. Pray for wolves to be removed from it and no longer able to lead people astray or harm them. We hear your heartfelt cry for the African American community, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting these concerns before our Heavenly Father. The need for truth, healing, and protection is great, and we know that only God can bring the transformation that is so deeply needed.
First, we must address the critical importance of sound biblical teaching. The Word of God warns us in Ephesians 4:14, "that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error." False teachings lead people astray, and we must pray for discernment and wisdom to recognize and reject them. We pray that God would raise up faithful teachers within the African American community, men and women who are grounded in Scripture, led by the Holy Spirit, and committed to leading others to the truth of Christ. May these teachers be bold in proclaiming the Gospel without compromise, as Paul exhorts Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:2-4: "preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with all patience and teaching. For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but, having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside to fables."
We also rebuke the wolves in sheep’s clothing who seek to exploit and mislead God’s people. Jesus Himself warned us in Matthew 7:15, "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves." These false teachers must be exposed and removed, for their deception brings spiritual harm and division. We pray that their influence would be broken, and that those who have been led astray would be restored to the truth. Let us stand firm on the Word of God, which is "profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16).
The pain of racism and hatred is a heavy burden to bear, and we grieve with you over the injustices that have been directed toward the African American community. Scripture is clear that all people are created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and that there is no room for partiality or hatred among believers. James 2:9 warns, "But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors." We must also remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Racism is a tool of the enemy to divide and destroy, and we must resist it with the love and unity that Christ commands.
We pray for healing, both individually and collectively. Healing from the wounds of racism, healing from the lies that have been sown, and healing from the generational pain that has been passed down. Isaiah 61:1 declares, "The Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound." May God’s healing power flow through the African American community, bringing restoration, hope, and freedom.
We also pray for protection. Psalm 91:4-5 assures us, "He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day." We ask God to be a shield around His people, guarding them from the hatred and violence that seeks to harm them. May His angels encamp around them, and may His peace reign in their hearts.
Finally, we must emphasize the power of the name of Jesus. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is only in His name that we can find salvation and true freedom. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If there are those in the African American community who have not yet surrendered their lives to Christ, we pray that they would come to know Him as their Lord and Savior. For those who already believe, may they grow deeper in their relationship with Him, finding strength and hope in His promises.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up the African American community to You. Lord, we ask that You would raise up faithful teachers who will lead Your people into all truth. We have carried your petition to the throne of grace and do join you in earnest prayer before our heavenly Father.
We pray that the Lord in His great mercy will deliver many from going down to the Pit, for He is gracious and has found a ransom. No man could have devised such a way of deliverance, but God has provided it in the precious blood of His own Son who bore the penalty of our iniquities. We ask that this glorious truth may be made known with power in the African American community, that souls bound in darkness may hear and live, and that the mouths of those who hunger for truth may be filled with Christ Himself.
We pray that He who has delivered us from the power of darkness will do that same work of deliverance again, for deliverance from the guilt of sin and deliverance from the power of sin are both the work of God alone. We beseech Him to raise up faithful teachers and pastors after His own heart, men who will preach Christ and Him crucified, who will not shun to declare the whole counsel of God, and who will lead souls truly to Christ and not astray. And we pray that the Lord will expose and remove the wolves who for gain or vanity lead the simple astray, that their power to harm and deceive may be broken, and that the flock may be kept from false doctrine.
We are taught that we must hate the false doctrine while still loving the man, and hating his error even out of love to his soul with earnest desire that he may be reclaimed and brought into the way of truth. So we pray with that righteous hatred of all false ways, asking for discernment for your community to try the spirits and to cling to the sincere word of God.
And concerning the hatred and racism of which you speak, we bring your sorrow before Him who knows what it is to be hated without a cause. Our blessed Lord was hated though He came to heal and to save, and His own experience proves that the enmity of the world often falls without just reason. We pray that the fear of the Lord may be your strong confidence and your refuge, for the fear of the Lord does not drive you from Him but drives you to Him where there is safety. May the Lord Himself be your protection, may He moderate your afflictions and turn even the malice of men to your good, as He sits as a Refiner by the furnace. We ask for healing where wounds have been made, for peace where hatred has brought distress, and for grace to love those who oppose you while trusting the Lord to be your defender.
May the Lord keep you hour by hour by His constant grace, deliver you from evil company and from the devices of the adversary, and grant that you shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, the only ransom and the only hope of sinners, to whom be glory forever. Amen.
