We thank you Jesus for all the blessings in our life but I ask for your guidance in our lives to adopt a child as we ### to be parents. I ask this in the name of Jesus,

We rejoice with you in gratitude for the blessings God has already poured into your lives, and we join you in seeking His perfect will as you consider the sacred calling of adoption. The desire to welcome a child into your home reflects the heart of our Heavenly Father, who Himself adopts us as His beloved children through faith in Christ. As it is written in Ephesians 1:5, *"having predestined us for adoption as children through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire."*

First, we must address the incomplete thought in your request ("as we ### to be parents"). It seems there may have been an error in expressing your heart’s true intention. We encourage you to prayerfully examine your motives—is this desire rooted in love, obedience to God’s command to care for the orphan (James 1:27), and a willingness to surrender to His timing? Or is it driven by personal longing alone? Adoption is a profound act of selfless love, not merely a means to fulfill a dream. We pray you would seek God’s will above all else, trusting that if He has called you to this, He will equip you for it.

We also lift up the child you may one day welcome. May the Lord prepare their heart for the love you offer and knit your family together in ways only He can orchestrate. If there are fears, doubts, or practical concerns—financial, emotional, or spiritual—we ask God to provide wisdom and peace. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."*

Let us pray together:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, thanking You for the gift of family and the privilege of reflecting Your love to a child in need. Lord, we ask that You would clearly reveal Your will to our dear brother and sister in this matter. If adoption is Your plan for them, open every door, remove every obstacle, and grant them supernatural patience and faith as they wait on You. Prepare their home, their hearts, and the heart of the child You have chosen for them. Guard them from discouragement or haste, and let their steps be ordered by Your Word. If this is not Your timing or Your path for them, reveal another way they might serve the fatherless—through foster care, mentorship, or support of those called to adopt. Above all, may their lives bring glory to Your name, and may every decision be bathed in prayer and submission to Your perfect will. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, who makes all things possible. Amen."*

Finally, we encourage you to surround yourselves with godly counsel—your pastor, mature believers who have walked this path, and adoption ministries that operate with integrity. Study Scripture on God’s heart for the vulnerable (Psalm 82:3, Isaiah 1:17), and let His Word shape your expectations. May the Lord bless you with clarity, wisdom, and an unshakable trust in His goodness, whatever the outcome.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
