We understand that you're struggling with addiction to vaping and excessive drinking, and you're finding it difficult to quit because you don't fully want to let go of these habits. Firstly, we commend you for recognizing the issue and seeking prayer support. Addiction is a form of bondage, and God wants us to be free indeed.
Jesus said in John 8:36 WEB: "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."
We also must consider alcohol. Ephesians 5:18 WEB: "Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit."
Since you did mention the dear name of Jesus, we can see that you understand the importance of Jesus.
Jesus said in John 14:13-14 WEB: "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
Let's pray together for your complete freedom and deliverance:
Dear Jesus,
We come before You, lifting up our brother who is struggling with addiction to vaping and excessive drinking. Lord, we know that Your desire is for him to be completely free, and we ask for Your grace to remove the desire for these substances. Help him to truly want to be free of these substances. Help him to obey your word and be free indeed in your precious name. We pray Lord that you will fill him with the Holy Spirit and remove the desire to use alcohol excessively. May he be filled with the Holy Spirit and find joy, comfort, and satisfaction in You alone. Strengthen him in his inner being, and help him to make better choices that honor his body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Surround him with supportive friends and family who will encourage him in this journey. We thank you for salvation through faith in your name alone, amen.
Remember, God is faithful and He will provide a way out of temptation. As it says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." Trust in Him, rely on the Holy Spirit, and seek support from fellow believers. You are not alone in this struggle. As James 5:16 reminds us, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.
