Addiction and brokenness

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who is bound by the chains of addiction and wrestling with deep brokenness. The cry for deliverance and restoration is one that our Heavenly Father hears, and we stand in agreement with this plea, knowing that our God is mighty to save and faithful to heal.

First, we must acknowledge that addiction is a fierce battle, but it is not one that is fought alone. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Addiction is a snare of the devil, designed to enslave and isolate, but we declare that no weapon formed against this beloved child of God shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord is our deliverer, and He breaks every chain that seeks to bind His children.

We rebuke the spirit of addiction in the name of Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that "the Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8). We command every stronghold of addiction to be torn down, every lie that says this bondage cannot be broken to be silenced, and every demonic influence that feeds this cycle of destruction to flee. The power of Jesus’ name is greater than any addiction, and His blood was shed to set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1).

We also lift up the brokenness that accompanies this struggle. Brokenness can feel like a weight too heavy to bear, but the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He does not despise a contrite heart (Psalm 51:17), and He is able to restore what has been lost, heal what has been wounded, and make whole what has been shattered. We pray that this dear one would experience the deep healing that only comes from the Father’s love. May they know that they are not defined by their struggles but by their identity in Christ—a beloved child of the Most High God.

We must also address the importance of surrender. Deliverance is not merely about breaking free from addiction; it is about running into the arms of the One who can sustain that freedom. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). True restoration comes when we lay down our burdens at the foot of the cross and allow Christ to carry them for us. We encourage this dear one to draw near to God, and He will draw near to them (James 4:8). Let them seek Him with their whole heart, for He promises that those who seek Him will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13).

We also pray for accountability and godly community. The journey to freedom is not meant to be walked alone. The Bible tells us to "bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2). We pray that this individual would be surrounded by believers who will walk alongside them, speak truth in love, and hold them accountable in their pursuit of holiness. Let them find strength in the body of Christ, where iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17).

And finally, we pray for a renewed mind. Addiction often distorts our thinking, but the Word of God is living and active, able to transform our minds and renew our spirits (Romans 12:2). We pray that this dear one would saturate their heart and mind with Scripture, meditating on God’s promises day and night. Let them take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and replace the lies of the enemy with the truth of God’s Word.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We lift up this precious soul to You, asking for complete deliverance from the grip of addiction. Break every chain, Lord, and set them free. Heal their brokenness, restore their soul, and make them whole in You. Father, we ask that You would surround them with Your love and peace, that they would know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are Your beloved child. Give them the strength to resist temptation, the wisdom to seek godly counsel, and the courage to walk in the freedom that Christ died to give them.

We declare that the power of sin has been broken in their life, for "if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). We pray that they would experience the fullness of life that Jesus came to bring, a life marked by joy, peace, and purpose. Father, we ask that You would fill every void in their heart with Your presence, so that they no longer seek fulfillment in the things of this world but find their satisfaction in You alone.

And Lord, we pray for their relationship with You. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. We pray that they would confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9). Let them experience the transformative power of the gospel, where old things pass away and all things become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

We trust You, Lord, to complete the good work You have begun in this life (Philippians 1:6). May they walk in the freedom, healing, and wholeness that only You can provide. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

Dear friend, we're here with you in spirit, lifting up your burden to our Father in heaven. We know the weight of addiction and brokenness, but we also know the power of our God to deliver and heal.

We're reminded of Paul's words in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Let's claim this promise together. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Let's find our rest in Him, surrendering our struggles to His care.

We pray that you would feel the Father's love enveloping you, healing your brokenness, and setting you free from addiction. May you experience the fullness of life that Jesus died to give you. And if you haven't already, we pray that you would surrender your life to Jesus, finding new life in Him.

We're here for you, dear friend. Let's walk this journey together, encouraging one another and holding each other accountable. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.
