We are so glad to join with you in prayer, as you take this important step of surrender to God. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can come to the Father and seek His forgiveness and help. First, let us remember what the Bible says:
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 WEB
For you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. 1 Corinthians 6:20 WEB
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament, mourn, and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you. James 4:7-10 WEB
Thank you, Father, for the surrender of this precious soul to you. We pray that you will forgive them for any wrong emotions, strongholds, idolatry, and anything else that is not pleasing to you. We know that you are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We stand with this person and pray for clarity in their confused thoughts. We rebuke any spirits of confusion, idolatry, or any stronghold that is not of God, and we ask that their thoughts will be brought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. We pray that they will have complete victory over these things and that their life will bring glory and honor to your name. We ask that you will draw near to them as they draw near to you. We pray all of these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who is the only way to the Father.
As you continue your walk with Christ, we encourage you to study His Word daily, allowing it to renew your mind and guide your steps. Remember that God is always with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Stand firm in your faith, and resist the devil, knowing that he has no power over you.
Little children, guard yourselves from idols. 1 John 5:21 WEB
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ; 2 Corinthians 10:5 WEB
Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:10-12 WEB
