It is of free grace that any of us may draw near to the throne of God at all, and that grace is freely given in Christ Jesus. Your brief word has been received, and though it tells little of your need, the Lord knows the need behind it.

There is a great truth to set before you, that everything in salvation is of divine grace. It is given of grace, it is received through grace, and it is understood by grace. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. From sin's pit to heaven's gate the whole road is paved with divine grace, and grace shall crown the work it has begun.

If you are burdened, or seeking, or turned aside, hear the gracious invitation still sounding, Turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways. It is because there is a great sacrifice, an all sufficient atonement in the blood of Christ, that repentance becomes acceptable. He will be very gracious unto you when you cry unto Him. He is found even of those who sought Him not, and He sends His grace to those who cried not after it.

Grace reigns through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. It reigns in the midst of spiritual death and bondage and despair, and where sin abounded grace did much more abound. Whoever comes to Him He will in no wise cast out. The heart which grace wins is the heart which God claims, and He asks for a yielded heart, saying Not my will but Yours be done.

If you have a burden for prayer, bring it plainly before the Lord. Seek His grace to know Christ alone as Saviour, for there is salvation in no other, and to walk in His holy way, for He has ordained that marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and that the gifts belonging to it belong within it. Whatever your case, confess it truly before Him as it is, and ask for the grace that makes new creatures in Christ Jesus.

May the Lord give you to see your need as it really is in His sight, and then to see the fullness of grace in Christ Jesus. May He grant you that grace which shall abide the fire, and cause you to be a partaker of the divine nature through living faith in Him. I pray that you will open your mouth wide in prayer and praise, that He may fill it, for God loves to look for emptiness where He may stow away His grace.
