Your request concerning the denial of a checking account has been heard, and we join you in bringing this temporal matter before the living God.
It is right to seek clarity when a door is closed, and it is wise to do so with both prayer and prudence. As we are taught, to trust in God in temporal things is not to be idle, nor to be rash, but to act in all prudence and uprightness while relying simply and entirely upon Him. He is not a distant or sleeping God, but the living God, a God with a great, warm, loving heart, an active and working God who comes into the midst of this world and cares for the concerns of His children.
Therefore we pray that the Lord would grant you clear understanding regarding the reasons for this denial, that any confusion would be removed, and that you would be guided to take the proper and honest steps to inquire and to set your affairs in order. We ask that He would provide for your needs according to His wisdom, and that He would keep you from trusting in yourself or in uncertain feelings, but enable you to trust fully in Christ and in the Father's faithful providence.
We pray that whether the account is soon opened or another provision is made, you may know the peace of one who has first trusted his soul to the Savior and can then trust his daily affairs in his Father's hands. May the Lord give you patience, favor where it is needed, and contentment in His will, and may this trial lead you to lean more completely upon Him who commanded light to shine out of darkness and who shines in our hearts by Jesus Christ.
