Beloved of All
Pray over my abusive husband that it will not stop it has going on for years it did not start there my coinisin abused at Bible camp then my sibling i do not howc to stop it some my sibling were abused and mom and dad they have to everybody and i can not threw this in the name of Jesus Christ amen

We hear your cry and we lift you before the Lord with heavy hearts, for what you have endured for years is not light and it is not hidden from God. We weep with you over not only what your husband has done, but over the deep wounds in your family, your cousin at Bible camp, your siblings, your mom and dad, and the pattern of abuse that has touched so many you love. The Lord sees every tear and He is close to you now. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.

We must speak clearly that abuse in marriage is sin and it is evil in the sight of God. It does not align with God's design for marriage. Marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman where the husband is commanded to love his wife as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her, Ephesians 5:25, and to not be bitter against her, Colossians 3:19, and to live with his wife with understanding, giving honor to her as a fellow heir of the grace of life, 1 Peter 3:7. Violence, control, harsh words, or physical harm violates that covenant. Psalm 11:5 says Yahweh tests the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and him who loves violence. We rebuke that abusive behavior in Jesus name and we pray that your husband will be brought to deep conviction, repentance and accountability, for without true repentance there can be no restoration. God calls all to repent and turn from sin, Acts 3:19, and to bear fruit worthy of repentance.

We also want to encourage you that enduring abuse is not what God requires of you to prove your faith. Forgiveness in your heart does not mean remaining in danger or keeping sin secret. The Lord has established authorities for protection, Romans 13:4 says the ruler is a servant of God to punish him who does evil. Seeking safety, telling a trusted pastor, a mature believing woman, a Christian counselor, and contacting law enforcement or a domestic violence helpline when you are in danger is not a lack of faith, it is wisdom. Proverbs 22:3 says the prudent person sees danger and takes refuge. Please do not walk through this alone any longer. If you are in immediate danger please reach out right away to someone safe near you and to local authorities. Make a safety plan, keep important documents and phone numbers where you can reach them, and let faithful people in the church know what is happening so they can stand with you and help hold your husband accountable.

We are so thankful you called on the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name we find salvation and help. Acts 4:12 says there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved. John 14:6 says Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him. Continue to bring everything to Him, for He understands your suffering and He is your refuge.

We pray together now for you and your family.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up our dear sister who has suffered abuse for years and who carries the pain of so much abuse in her family. Lord You see what has been done in secret and in the open, You know the fear, the shame, the exhaustion, and the feeling that she cannot go through this any longer. We ask You to surround her with Your presence and Your protection. Isaiah 41:10 says do not be afraid, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you. Strengthen her now, give her wisdom for every next step, and lead her to safe, godly people who will believe her, counsel her biblically, and help protect her. Heal her heart and body from the trauma, and heal her cousin, her siblings, and her parents where abuse has wounded them, for You are the God of all comfort, 2 Corinthians 1:3-4.

Lord we pray for her husband, that You would convict him of his sin, bring him to true repentance, and stop his violence. Remove any hardness of heart and let him submit to Your Word and to godly accountability. Where there is unrepentant sin, expose it and restrain it, and let justice be done. We pray that this cycle of abuse in this family would be broken now by the power of Jesus Christ, that what has passed from generation to generation would end, and that healing and holiness would take its place.

Father, give our sister courage to speak the truth, to seek help, and to trust You day by day. Let her know she is not to blame for the sin done against her, that she is precious in Your sight, fearfully and wonderfully made, Psalm 139:14, and that You desire to give her peace and a future. Guide her to wise shepherds in the church who will handle Your Word faithfully and care for her soul. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and our refuge, amen.

We are so grieved to read what you shared. Years of harm from your husband, and before that hurt from a cousin at Bible camp, from siblings, and in your parents' home, that is a heavy history to carry, and it makes sense that you feel worn down and unsure how to make it stop. What has happened to you is not your fault, and you deserve to be safe.

We want to gently encourage you not to face this alone. Abuse that involves fear and intimidation is not something to work through just between the two of you, and it helps to have a safe person who understands abuse to walk with you. When you are able, consider reaching out to one trusted, safe person, a counselor, advocate, pastor experienced in abuse safety, or a helpline from the link above, to talk through a personal safety plan and next steps for support. They can help you think clearly about options and resources in your area.

We are praying for you and will continue to.

Father, we lift this dear one to You in Jesus' name. We ask for protection and safety, for wisdom for each decision ahead, and for healing from the deep wounds of these years and from childhood. Surround her with safe, trustworthy help and remind her she is seen and valued by You. Lead her step by step and give her strength for today. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your cry has been heard with great sorrow and with earnest prayer before the Lord, and we do not take lightly the weight you have carried for so many years. To endure abuse in your own home, and to carry also the memory of abuse done to your cousin at Bible camp, to your siblings, and within your own family, is a deep wound that only the Lord can fully see. He knows the history of these sorrows and He is not distant from them.

We want you to know that the Lord does not delight in violence or cruelty within the home. Marriage is ordained by God as a covenant of love and faithfulness, and abuse breaks that holy trust and is sin against God and against you. It is right and good to pray that such sin would stop, that you would be safe, and that righteousness and peace would be restored. We join you in praying that the abuse would end, not continue.

The Scripture says, He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. There is, as it is written, healing power in Jesus Christ, not only in His great acts but in the very leaves of the tree of life which are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing. His leaves, His touch, His word, can change the lifeblood and make the nature new. When He dwelt among men, pardon and healing were one, for He said to the palsied man, thy sins are forgiven thee, and then He made him whole. He is still the heavenly Physician who binds up the brokenhearted, and His power to heal is present when His Word is taught and trusted.

We pray for you now in the name of Jesus Christ, that the Sun of Righteousness would rise upon you with healing in His wings. May the Lord give you His pardon and His peace through faith in Christ, and may He pour His healing virtue into your wounded heart and body. May He be your refuge and your strong tower, and may He surround you with wise and faithful help.

We pray also for your husband, that God would convict him of sin, bring him to true repentance, and cause all violence and abuse to cease. We ask that the Lord would change his heart and restrain his hands, and that he would seek the Lord with that holy earnestness which lays hold upon the kingdom of heaven and will not let go without a blessing.

In your great need, we urge you with love to not bear this alone or in silence. Please reach without delay to a trusted pastor, a godly counselor, and safe family or friends who can stand with you and help you take steps toward safety. If you are in immediate danger, please seek safety at once and contact local authorities or a trusted help service in your area, for the Lord often provides healing through the help of His people and through those appointed to protect. A pastor or counselor who holds to the Word of God can walk with you, listen carefully, and help you discern the wisest path for protection and for healing for you and for your household.

Continue to seek the Lord with that holy violence of prayer which will not cease until He answers. He hears the earnest cry. He heals those who come to Him wounded and weary. Cast your burden upon Him, for He careth for you, and trust that the same hand which was pierced for you is able to bind up your wounds and to make you whole.

We are praying that the Lord will keep you, give you wisdom for each step, provide safe shelter and counsel, and bring His healing and pardon to every part of this long sorrow. May the Lord who heals the brokenhearted be very near to you now and in the days to come. Amen.
