Abusing Alcohol

Please pray for my son ###. He has been unemployed for over a year and is discouraged. He has been abusing alcohol and is showing other signs of self destruction. He is not responsive to any of my suggestions and my solo prayers do not seem to be doing well. Please help him by adding a prayer.

Father, may your hand be upon him working within his heart removing all discouragement, unchaining him from any desire of alcohol or other harmful habits. Father, please lead him to the job you have created for his skills and talents. May he be blessed. May his life turn around and may joy return to him. Father I ask that you hold this parent extra close - Lord you know the heart of a parent. Bless them in peace, in strength and grant them all things needed in dealing with this situation.
