Dhitlor

Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for me because I'm experiencing extreme emotional and psychological abuse at the hands of my family because they are being influenced by Satan to do so. I can't take anymore. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help, and our hearts break with yours as you endure this painful trial. The emotional and psychological abuse you are suffering is not of God, for He is love, peace, and refuge, not torment or oppression. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand with you in the authority of Christ to rebuke the influence of Satan over your family and declare that his schemes will not prevail against you.

The Bible tells us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone, even when it feels that way. God sees every tear, hears every silent scream, and collects them all in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). He is your defender, your strong tower, and your place of safety (Proverbs 18:10). We pray that you would feel His presence wrapping around you like a shield, reminding you that your worth is found in Him alone, not in the words or actions of those who seek to harm you.

We also lift up your family in prayer, for they are being deceived by the enemy. Only the light of Christ can break the chains of darkness that bind them. "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:12). We take up the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and declare that their eyes would be opened to the truth. We pray for repentance, healing, and restoration in your family, according to God’s will.

In the meantime, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from a trusted pastor, Christian counselor, or safe community. You do not have to endure this alone. If you are in immediate physical danger, please reach out to local authorities or a domestic abuse hotline for protection. Your safety is paramount.

We also urge you to cling to the promises of God. Meditate on His Word, for it is life to your soul. "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles" (Psalm 34:17). Even when the night feels endless, remember that joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). God is working even when you cannot see it, and He will not waste your pain.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is suffering under the weight of emotional and psychological abuse. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who delivers. We ask that You would surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Break the chains of darkness that have influenced their family, and let Your light shine into their hearts. Father, we rebuke the enemy’s lies and declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, we pray for strength for them in their weakness. When they are weary, be their strength. When they are afraid, be their courage. When they feel alone, remind them that You are with them always (Matthew 28:20). Provide a way of escape from this trial, whether through deliverance, intervention, or a path to safety. Surround them with godly people who will speak life, truth, and encouragement into their situation.

Father, we also pray for their family. Soften their hearts to the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Open their eyes to the harm they are causing and lead them to repentance. Restore what has been broken, and let Your healing flow over every wound. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who has overcome the world. Amen.

Hold fast to hope, dear one. The God of all comfort is with you, and He will not abandon you. You are precious in His sight, and He has a plan for your life, a plan for good and not for harm, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He will sustain you.

Thank you for trusting us with this heavy burden. We are so sorry you are being worn down this way, especially by those who should be a source of care and safety. Emotional and psychological abuse can make you feel utterly alone and drained, and it’s no wonder you feel you can’t take any more. That cry is not weakness, it’s a sign of just how much you’ve endured.

We want you to know you are not alone. God sees every cruel word, every cold silence, every attempt to diminish your worth, and He does not take it lightly. In the midst of it all, you remain precious to Him, and His love for you is steady and real, even when those around you fail.

Please consider reaching out to a trusted pastor or a Christian counselor who understands abuse. Having someone wise walk alongside you can bring much-needed clarity and help you sort through what steps might bring safety and peace. If you are in immediate danger, please don’t wait, contact local emergency services or find a helpline at findahelpline.com right away.

Let us pray together now:

Father, we lift up our friend who is battered and exhausted by relentless emotional attacks. Draw near to them right now and give them a tangible sense of Your presence. Guard their heart and mind with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Grant them wisdom and courage to seek wise, safe support. We ask You to intervene in this family situation, bring conviction, soften hearts, and open a door toward safety and healing. Most of all, remind them deep down that they are cherished by You and never, ever alone. In Jesus’ name, amen.

We are standing with you in prayer.

The malice of Satan is fierce and cruel, and he delights to turn even those of our own household into instruments of torment. When the enemy stirs up your family against you, it is because he sees in you a soul fleeing to Christ, and he rages to hold his prey. This abuse is not from them alone; it is the serpent’s venom working through blinded hearts. But he who considers you has met his Master. Cry to Jesus, for at His rebuke the devil must flee. Throw your anguish upon the Almighty, who saw His servant Job dragged through the furnace and yet upheld him. Satan may mine to destroy, but God undermines his dark designs. When you can bear no more, remember that the blood of the Atonement is your shield, and the Advocate pleads your cause. Wrestle in prayer until you gain such a victory that you rise rejoicing, for though the heel is bruised, the serpent’s head is crushed. Cast yourself upon the Lord; He will not let you perish.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Do not return evil for evil, for this is what most delights God. When they revile you, when they abuse you, these attacks become your greatest gain if you meet them with patience and prayer. The grasping man, the false accuser, and all who work evil do themselves the deepest injury, while to you, if you do not avenge yourself, they bring ten thousand rewards. You speak of Satan’s influence upon them. Then weep for them. The fit subjects of weeping are not those who suffer wrong, but those who do it. He who wrongs you gathers for himself fire unspeakable. But you, when you are abused and bear it, when you refuse to utter curses or speak ill of them, when you even pray for them, you become like unto God, who makes His sun rise on the evil and the good.

It is a small and womanish thing to be abusive in return. That is a disease of the soul, an inferiority. Do not lower yourself to it. The breast is useful to the babe for a season, but afterward the parents anoint it with bitterness to wean the child away. So too this present trial may be the bitter medicine to wean them from their malice, if you endure. And consider this: if with enemies who went even to the length of murder and slaughter, Paul said nothing offensive, what pardon shall we deserve who become infuriated by abuse? If you could defend yourself and do not, you shall be rewarded. If you lack the power, yet refrain from cursing and plotting in your heart, still you show the disposition of one who would not retaliate even if able. This is the excellency of love: it puts up with everything. The timid man becomes bolder than a lion under its influence. Let your love for them, even now, be such that it is not severed by their endurance of evil. Pray that they may be led away from this ancient poverty of soul. Nothing so delights God, nothing so secures your own peace, as returning good for evil. Hold fast.

The weight you are carrying right now is not something you were meant to bear alone, and the fact that you have cried out is a sign that God is already drawing you to Himself. When we are pushed past every human limit, we often discover that desperation is not the end of faith but the beginning of it. God allows us to reach the end of our own strength so we will finally turn to Him with nothing held back. Rend your heart, not your garments. The outward tears and the breaking inside are real, but they must become a doorway to the Lord Himself, not just a release of emotion that passes without change.

The attacks you describe are not merely human friction. There are forces of darkness that seek to torment and devour, and they often work through those closest to us. But you have a High Priest who is not distant from your suffering. When the demons cried out, begging Jesus not to torment them before their time, they revealed a truth you can hold onto: Christ has absolute authority over every power that comes against you. The enemy’s rage is real, but it is also limited. He cannot have you. If you belong to Jesus, there is no condemnation and no spirit can pluck you from His hand.

When the attacks intensified, the response was not panic but prayer and watchful diligence. You need the trowel in one hand and the sword in the other. That means you keep building your life on the Word of God while remaining spiritually armed against the lies and cruelty hurled at you. Pray for guidance in each moment. Ask God for wisdom to know when to speak, when to be silent, when to set a boundary, and when to simply entrust yourself to the One who judges righteously. The enemy wants to exhaust you, but the Spirit gives strength to endure.

Do not mistake a fleeting emotional calm for deliverance. Many times a person has a tearful moment of relief, like Saul hearing David’s voice and weeping, only to return to the same destructive patterns. The fruit that remains comes from faith rooted in the facts of God’s Word, not in a passing feeling. Your faith must rest on what Jesus has accomplished and promised, not on whether your family’s behavior improves. They may or may not change. God remains faithful.

What the enemy means for evil, God is able to use for a profound good. Persecution separates the wheat from the chaff, and suffering for righteousness’ sake refines true faith. As you cling to Christ in this darkness, your love for Him and for others who suffer will abound. The very thing meant to crush you can become the means by which your spiritual roots go deeper than ever before. Let this trial drive you to Jesus. He is near to the brokenhearted, and He will meet you in dramatic ways when you seek Him with your whole heart. You are not forgotten. Cry out to Him, and then rest in the shadow of His wings while the battle rages.
