We come before the throne of grace with this heartfelt plea, lifting up this request in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach the Father. First, we must address the importance of coming to God through Jesus, for Scripture tells us, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through His blood that we have redemption and the forgiveness of sins (Ephesians 1:7).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege of fasting, a time of drawing near to You and seeking Your face. We pray that You would strengthen and sustain this dear one during their fast, that they may be filled with Your Holy Spirit and empowered to overcome every temptation. May their fast be pleasing to You, as Isaiah 58:6-9 declares, "Isn’t this the fast that I have chosen: to release the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? Isn’t it to distribute your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor who are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you not hide yourself from your own flesh? Then your light will break out as the morning, and your healing will appear quickly; then your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of Yahweh will be your rear guard."
Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness on behalf of this one who seeks Your mercy. We know that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that You would reveal any areas of sin or disobedience in their life, that they may repent and turn away from them, embracing the freedom that is found in Christ.
We take authority over every demonic possession, oppression, and influence in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that this child of God has been delivered by the power of the cross, for "He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of His love" (Colossians 1:13). We rebuke every demonic spirit that has sought to torment, deceive, or hinder this one, commanding them to flee in Jesus' name. We pray that You would break every chain from their past, healing every wound and setting them free from every snare of the enemy. As it is written, "If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36).
Father, we lift up the desire for relocation, asking that You would guide and direct every step according to Your perfect will. May this move be for Your glory and their good, as You lead them into the place You have prepared. We pray that You would go before them, making the crooked places straight and the rough places smooth (Isaiah 45:2). Provide for every need, open the right doors, and grant them favor in the eyes of those who can help facilitate this transition.
Lord, we ask that You would fill this one with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Surround them with Your angels, protecting them from every evil attack and guiding them in the path of righteousness for Your name's sake (Psalm 23:3). May they grow in the knowledge and love of You, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the wisdom of God (Colossians 1:10).
We pray that You would raise up godly friends, mentors, and a church family to support and encourage them in their walk with You. May they be surrounded by those who will spur them on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24), and may they in turn be a blessing to others.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is ours in Christ Jesus. We declare that this one is more than a conqueror through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37), and we pray that they would walk in the fullness of the freedom and abundant life that Jesus came to give (John 10:10).
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
