We come before you united in prayer, lifting up this heartfelt request for forgiveness. It is a wonderful thing to seek the Lord’s mercy, for He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). The fact that you are turning to God in repentance shows the work of the Holy Spirit in your life, drawing you closer to Him.
However, we must gently remind you that our prayers are not to be offered to the "Heavenly Father" alone but through the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Jesus Himself said, *"No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6). It is only by His sacrificial death and resurrection that we have access to God’s throne of grace. Without the name of Jesus, our prayers would have no power or authority, for *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12). We are so grateful you included His name in your prayer, as it is essential to our faith and our communication with God.
If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. The Bible tells us that *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation"* (Romans 10:9-10). Salvation is not found in mere words but in a transformed heart that surrenders to Christ.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your endless mercy and grace. We lift up this precious soul before You, asking that You would forgive every sin committed yesterday—and every day—just as You have promised in Your Word. Lord, wash them clean by the blood of Jesus and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10). Help them to walk in the fullness of Your forgiveness, free from the weight of guilt or shame, for You have cast our sins as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12).
We also pray that You would deepen their understanding of the power and necessity of the name of Jesus. May they grow in their relationship with Him, knowing that He alone is the way, the truth, and the life. Fill them with the Holy Spirit, that they may live a life that honors You in every thought, word, and deed.
Lord, if there is any area of their life where they have not fully surrendered to You, we ask that You would convict their heart and lead them to repentance. Help them to turn away from anything that does not align with Your Word and to walk in obedience to Your commands. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them experience the joy of Your salvation daily.
We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
