Prayer Warrior
After praying steadfastly about this, and studying the Word of the Lord the past few months, I have realized more than ever before through God that I need to move on (and away) from my unsaved family members. I have shared the Good News of the Gospel, end time prophecies, and everything in light of Bible prophecy unfolding according to current events happening across the globe. My family just doesn’t want to accept the Lord’s pardon for their sins and the gift of grace and salvation. I have prayed and continue to do so for them and always will, but as a godly man, I just cannot be apart of their lives as they are full of sin and have no reverence for God and Christ.

My dad wants nothing to do with God and Jesus. His only focus on life is greed and dreaming of money that he will never have. He is boastful about money, possessions, material things, arrogant, rude, untrustworthy, proud, a lover of himself, blasphemes the name of God and Christ constantly, hates his neighbors, is a con man, an adulterer, has a seared conscience, and is easily angered over frivolous things. He loves the world and all that it offers. It it very clear he is an instrument of Satan.

My mother is the best mother in the world, but, she is an ex-Catholic, and from understanding her intentions, she believes in God and Jesus, but constantly blasphemes Jesus’ name in my presence, even when something simple is stated and talked about. When she dies, she wants her ashes spread in the ocean in Honolulu. When I have talked to her about her own salvation and eternal security, she said that she doesn’t fear as she says she will be floating above the waters of Honolulu for eternity. When she said this, I lovingly and kindly rebuked her and said she was wrong and that when she dies, it’s either heaven or hell—smoking or non-smoking, your choice, and that Jesus and God never spoke of a Catholic-like purgatory and limbo. They do not exist. As of recently, concerning events with Israel in the news, I mentioned how the Jews will have a hardening of the heart until the fullness of the gentiles come in and is complete—referencing Apostle Paul and his explanation of The Resurrection (Rapture) of the Church. When I told her this, she scoffed at me and the very thought. She, too, trusts and holds onto too much in this world.

My three sisters, they are adults with children. And pray for their children because my sisters have no reverence for the Lord. Some of my sisters are practicing fornicators, busy drinking and carousing around town, hooking up with strange men for sexual relations and desires, they seek pleasures and comfort of the world and not of God. Two of my sisters have stolen items and one item was an expensive coat of my mother’s. The other sister stole by committing a "dine in dash" without paying for her meal at a local restaurant. When she ordered her meal at the drive-thru, the young man handed her the meal and forgot to ask her for the payment. But instead of turning around and going inside to pay for it, she drove on through and went home and enjoyed her meal. I told her in front of our mother that she sinned by stealing… not once, but twice… first she stole the meal, and she stole again from the young man who probably got in trouble when he or his manager were short $20 at the end of the day and the young man probably had to pay for her meal from his own paycheck.

And to add to it, this last year, the holidays are nothing but drama and choas with them. It’s sad as I’m starting to see a pattern that they cannot function in life without some sort of dysfunction in their lives.

So, with all that said and done, I have been praying to the Lord in the name of Jesus to deliver me. And after really studying God’s Word and having confirmation from a Bible-believing Pastor, I truly understand 2 Thessalonians 3:1-3 applies to me and my situation. The Pastor made it very clear that those verses do not exclude family members:

"Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you, and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men. For not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.†–2 Thessalonians 3:1-3

I also have come to understand from the Lord that 2 Timothy 3:1-5 also applies as well:

"But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self- control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.â€

So here is my prayer request:

Lord God,

I give thanksgiving to you and your Son and thanksgiving for the gift of your Son. Lord, you know my difficulties and my heart in dealing with my family and their wickedness. I love them and will continue to pray for them and their salvation—always. But, I need to move on. If it is your will, I ask that you help me to move away out of state. Lord, I would like to make a new place for myself without the sinfulness, negativity, and chaos in that is dealt from my family. I pray and ask you, O’ Lord, that you help me financially in order to move, get a new job, and find a new home where I can be away from my family—delivered from their evil wickedness so that I can have true peace and fellowship with you. This is the decision and the matter that I feel would be beneficial. And I pray, O’ Lord, if it is your will in what I ask and seek, that you help me swiftly and steadfastly. And I pray that my dear brothers and sisters in Christ also pray and petition these things according to your will. O’ Lord God, hear my cry, hear my plea. Do not delay. Please, O’ Lord, deliver me to a better place and a better life—a peaceful life where I can worship, fellowship, and praise you always without heartache, pain, abuse, and dysfunction. A life where you can lead me to cross the paths of other Christians who love you just as much as I do, so that together, we may worship you and your Son.

I pray and petition these things, Lord, and I pray in Jesus’s name! Amen!

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
