Thank you for sharing this burden so honestly and for asking for prayer. God hears the cry for deliverance and He is able to make a way where there seems to be no way. His desire is to set people free and to bring them into praise for His power to save.
Scripture shows that Beelzebub is not a true lord at all. The name means lord of the flies and it was the name of a false god worshiped at Ekron. When a king of Israel was injured he sent messengers to inquire of that false god whether he would recover, instead of inquiring of the true God. The prophet met the messengers and declared that because the king had turned to a false lord rather than to the Lord God of Israel, he would not recover. The lesson remains that deliverance is not found by looking to false powers but by turning to the living God.
When Jesus was on earth He cast out evil spirits with authority. Some accused Him of casting out demons by Beelzebub, the prince of demons. Jesus answered that if He casts out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come. He is not in league with evil but is its conqueror. The accounts show that when He commanded unclean spirits to leave, they often left with a cry from the mouth, showing they are real personal beings who must obey Him.
Those spirits are restless when they have no place to dwell and they seek embodiment. In the account of the man among the tombs, the spirits possessing him begged Jesus not to command them into the deep. That word for the deep refers to the abyss, the bottomless pit, which Scripture presents as a place of confinement for evil spirits, distinct from the place of the human dead. They knew their time of confinement was coming and they were subject to Jesus and His timing. Even the visions of demonic hordes in Revelation show that they are intelligent, have power to harm, and yet are limited by God. They can only go as far as He permits, and He marks and seals His own.
It is important not to assume that every affliction is caused by a demon. Jesus corrected that kind of thinking. At the same time we know that evil spirits are real and that they can oppress and influence, even influencing those in high places to do inhumane things that cannot be explained apart from spiritual darkness. Our confidence is not in analyzing every spirit by name but in the one who is greater. Scripture says greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. In Christ you are not left without help.
Jesus also said to watch and keep your garments, speaking of His return as coming like a thief. Part of watching is walking in His light and truth, staying close to Him, keeping your life clean before Him through His grace.
If you are seeking deliverance, turn fully to Jesus Christ alone for salvation and for freedom. Confess your need to Him, repent of any sin the Holy Spirit shows you, renounce any involvement with false gods or occult practices, and ask Jesus to be Lord of every part of your life, spirit, soul and body. Resist the enemy in the name of Jesus and he will flee, not because of your strength but because of Christ in you. Fill your mind and mouth with Scripture, prayer and worship, and stay in fellowship with faithful believers who can pray with you and help you walk steadily. Where God brings deliverance He leads His people to sing of His triumph, as Israel sang after He made a way through the sea.
We pray for you now. Father in heaven, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, who alone saves and delivers. We ask You to have mercy and to set this dear one free from every evil oppression. In the name of Jesus we ask You to command every unclean spirit to leave and to go where Jesus sends it, and to have no return. Wash this life with the blood of Jesus, fill every place with Your Holy Spirit, with Your light and Your truth, with peace and soundness of mind. Teach this one to walk daily in Your Word, to watch and to keep their garments clean by Your grace, to resist the enemy and to stand firm in faith. Let there be no inquiry after false lords but a wholehearted seeking of You, the true God. We trust You to make a way where there is no way and to keep what You have delivered. Amen.
