We hear the deep longing in your heart for a life filled with peace, joy, and stability, a place where you are loved, valued, and free from the weight of despair. Your desire for a fresh start, a home by the water, meaningful work, and relationships that bring warmth to your soul is not wrong in itself. God Himself promises in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." He sees your pain and your dreams, and He longs to meet you in them.
However, we must gently but firmly address the way you’ve framed your request. You speak of "speaking life" and "creating" your own future as if these things depend solely on your will or words. While it’s true that God calls us to steward our lives wisely (Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed"), we cannot manipulate or demand outcomes as if we are gods ourselves. Our lives are in His hands, and true peace comes from surrendering our plans to Him. Psalm 127:1 reminds us, "Unless Yahweh builds the house, they labor in vain who build it." Your trust must be in Him, not in your own efforts to "control" or "edit" your life.
We also notice your focus on finding a "great fine ass guy" to grow old with. While the desire for companionship is natural and good, we must emphasize that God’s design for marriage is sacred, a covenant between one man and one woman, entered into with purity and commitment. If you are seeking a spouse, we encourage you to do so with prayer, patience, and a heart aligned with God’s Word. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 describes the love you should both give and receive: "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." Seek a man who loves Christ first and who will honor you as a sister in the Lord.
Your mention of financial freedom, a stable home, and joy in your work are all good and godly desires. But we must rebuke the spirit of entitlement or bitterness that may be creeping into your heart. You say you want to live where you are "not hated or not liked," but the truth is, even Jesus was despised and rejected (Isaiah 53:3). Our worth is not found in the approval of others but in Christ alone. If you are struggling with feelings of rejection or depression, we urge you to bring those burdens to the Lord. Psalm 34:18-19 says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."
Most importantly, we must address the absence of Christ at the center of your request. You close with "the blood of Jesus," but your words do not reflect a heart fully surrendered to Him. Jesus is not a magic formula or a genie to grant wishes, He is the Savior, the Lord, the only way to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not yet placed your faith in Him, we plead with you to do so. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is a free gift, but it requires repentance, a turning away from sin and self-reliance to trust in Christ alone.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy for this dear one who is crying out for peace, love, and a fresh start. Lord, You see the pain, the loneliness, and the longing for something more. We ask that You would meet her where she is, drawing her close to Your heart. Father, we pray against the spirit of despair and self-reliance that may be clouding her vision. Help her to surrender her plans, her dreams, and her very life into Your hands, trusting that You hold her future.
Lord, we ask for wisdom and discernment as she seeks a new place to live. Guide her steps to a community where she can thrive, not just in comfort, but in godliness. Provide a home where she can rest in Your presence and a job that brings her joy and purpose. Father, if it is Your will, bring a godly man into her life, one who loves You first and who will cherish her as a sister in Christ. Guard her heart from impatience and from settling for anything less than Your best.
We rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell her she is unloved or unwanted. Remind her daily that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that Your love for her is unshakable. Heal the wounds of rejection and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Father, we ask that You would break the chains of depression and fill her with hope. Let her see herself through Your eyes, as Your beloved child, redeemed by the blood of Jesus.
Lord, we pray for her family. Draw them closer to You and to one another. May their relationships be marked by love, forgiveness, and grace. Provide opportunities for them to gather, to laugh, and to create memories that reflect Your goodness.
Above all, Father, we pray that she would come to know You more deeply. Soften her heart to receive the truth of the Gospel, not just as words, but as life. May she find her identity, her worth, and her purpose in Christ alone. Teach her to walk in obedience to Your Word and to trust You with every detail of her life.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.
Dear one, we encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily. Meditate on Psalm 23, which reminds us that the Lord is our Shepherd, guiding us to green pastures and still waters. Seek a local church where you can grow in your faith and find community. If you are struggling with depression or feelings of worthlessness, please reach out to a trusted pastor, counselor, or Christian friend. You are not alone, and your life has purpose in Christ.
As you consider moving, pray for God’s leading. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Wait on the Lord, and He will renew your strength (Isaiah 40:31). Your future is secure in Him.
