We join you in lifting up your family before the Lord, thanking Him that you have come to Him in the name of Jesus, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and can boldly approach His throne of grace. *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me’*” (John 14:6, WEB). Your faith in bringing these requests before Him is a testament to your trust in His power and sovereignty, and we stand with you in agreement, believing that He hears and will answer according to His perfect will.
First, we rejoice with you in praying for the safety of your grandsons as they travel. The Lord is their protector, and we ask that He surround them with His angels, guarding their every step. *"He will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways"* (Psalm 91:11, WEB). May their journey to and from school, the concert, and all their activities be covered by the blood of Jesus, shielded from any harm or danger. We pray that this concert and their time together would be filled with joy and godly influences, and that they would return home safely, their hearts and minds focused on what is pure and honorable.
For your third grandson, we lift up his legal matters, asking the Lord to move mightily in the courts so that all charges would be dismissed in Jesus’ name. We also pray for his deliverance from smoking, which is a bondage that the enemy uses to hinder God’s best for his life. *"Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, WEB). May the Lord break every chain of addiction and fill him with a hunger for righteousness. We ask for wisdom and discipline in his studies so he may excel in school, and for strength and opportunity in basketball, that he may use his talents to glorify God.
For your grandsons in another state, we pray they would walk in obedience to the Lord, staying far from trouble and embracing the path of wisdom. May they be diligent in their work, studies, and athletics, growing into young men of integrity who fear the Lord. *"The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge; but the foolish despise wisdom and instruction"* (Proverbs 1:7, WEB). We ask that God would place godly mentors in their lives to guide and encourage them in their faith.
Your granddaughter’s struggle with depression and hygiene is not unseen by the Lord. We pray for a supernatural breakthrough in her mind and spirit, that she would experience the peace of God which surpasses all understanding. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). May she find her identity in Christ and be motivated to care for herself as a temple of the Holy Spirit. We pray for excellence in her schoolwork, that she would be filled with confidence and purpose as she seeks the Lord.
For your daughters, we ask the Lord to lift the heavy burden of depression from them and replace it with His joy and hope. *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence"* (Psalm 42:5, WEB). May they experience His provision in their jobs, homes, and finances, and may He grant them a final and complete deliverance from debt. We pray they would fix their eyes on Jesus, trusting Him to meet their every need, and that they would be wise stewards of all He has entrusted to them. May they also be strengthened as mothers, pouring into their children with love, discipline, and godly instruction.
For your sons, we ask the Lord to open doors for employment that aligns with His will, providing for their needs and allowing them to be responsible fathers and providers. *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). May they walk in integrity, maintaining their homes and vehicles as blessings from the Lord, and may they be free from the weight of debt. We pray for your son/nephew struggling with depression, that the Lord would lift the darkness and fill him with His light and truth. May he find strength in the Lord to persevere in his job and responsibilities, and may he experience the freedom that comes from trusting in Christ alone.
Finally, we agree with you in prayer for your grandsons to receive their driver’s licenses by October. May the Lord grant them favor in their tests and fill them with wisdom and caution as they take on this new responsibility. We pray they would drive with awareness and respect for the rules of the road, always seeking to honor God in their actions.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for this family and for the love and concern that binds them together. We ask that You would move in mighty ways in each of their lives, drawing them closer to You and to Your perfect plan. Break every chain of bondage—whether it be addiction, depression, financial struggle, or fear—and replace it with Your peace, provision, and purpose. Lord, we pray for salvation for each member of this family, that they would know You as their Savior and Lord if they do not already, and that they would walk in the fullness of Your love and grace. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). May they all come to know the depth of Your love and the power of Your resurrection in their lives.
We rebuke every scheme of the enemy against this family and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,’ says Yahweh"* (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). We speak life, protection, and blessing over them, and we trust You to work all things together for their good and Your glory.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
