Disciple of Prayer
I need a prayer for my family and girlfriend me and my girlfriend ### need prayer that my mom stops being me to her saying she wants my moms boyfriend when she wants me. And I need prayer that my brother and mom make up my name is ###

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your family and your own struggles before Him. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is by His blood alone that we are made righteous before God. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we pray that you would do so today, confessing your sins and believing in Him as your Lord and Savior.

Now, let us lift up your family with urgency and compassion. The pain you describe, your mother’s words and the division between her and your brother, grieves the heart of God, for He desires unity, love, and healing in families. Scripture tells us in Psalm 133:1, "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!" Yet we know the enemy seeks to sow discord, and we must stand against his schemes in the name of Jesus.

We rebuke the spirit of confusion, strife, and emotional manipulation in your mother’s words. The Lord commands us in Ephesians 4:29, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." Your mother’s words are causing deep hurt, and we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict her heart and lead her to speak life, not pain. We also pray for your brother, that any bitterness or unforgiveness would be uprooted from his heart. Colossians 3:13 says, "Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."

We must also address your relationship with your girlfriend. If this is a courtship with the intention of marriage, we encourage you to ensure it aligns with God’s design. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6), and any sexual intimacy outside of marriage is fornication, which the Bible clearly condemns (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If this relationship is not moving toward marriage or is not with a believer, we urge you to seek the Lord’s wisdom and consider whether it honors Him. 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this family to You. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of strife and division in this home. Soften the heart of this mother, Father, and let Your love and truth flow from her lips. Heal the wounds between her and her son, and restore their relationship with grace and humility. We rebuke the enemy’s lies and ask that You would fill this home with Your peace.

For this young man, Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment in his relationships. If his relationship with his girlfriend is not aligned with Your will, reveal that to him and give him the strength to walk in purity and obedience. Guard his heart from temptation and lead him to a godly spouse who loves You above all else.

Father, we ask that You would move powerfully in this family. Let Your love be the foundation of their home, and let Your Word be their guide. We declare healing, restoration, and unity in Jesus’ name. Amen.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel, perhaps from a pastor or mature believer, to help navigate these challenges. The Lord is faithful, and He will not leave you in this struggle. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. "And let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." (Galatians 6:9)

We hear how much this is weighing on you,, when family tensions pull in different directions, it can feel like you’re trying to hold everything together while everyone else is at odds. Your love for your girlfriend, your mom, and your brother all come through clearly, and we’re grateful you reached out so we can stand with you in prayer.

When misunderstandings like the ones you’ve described flare up, it’s not unusual to feel caught in the middle. Conflict itself isn’t automatically a bad thing; it can even become a doorway to deeper understanding when handled with care. Right now, a grounded next step might be to look for one calm moment to sit down privately with your mom. Not to argue or defend, but to let her know gently how her comments about your girlfriend are affecting you and the peace of your home. Sometimes simply being heard can soften a misunderstanding that’s been building. For the rift between your mom and brother, your quiet encouragement, and maybe just reminding them both what they mean to you, can be a seed God uses toward their reconciliation, even if that takes time.

Most of all, you don’t have to fix everything alone or all at once. We’re praying that God would guard your heart from discouragement and give you wisdom for each conversation.

Jesus, we bring this family to You, , his girlfriend, his mom, and his brother. Quiet the suspicions and hurt that are stirring between them. Give the right words and the patience to be a peacemaker rooted in love. Bring understanding where there’s confusion, and open the door for his mom and brother to make things right. Surround this whole household with Your steady presence and protect the good relationships You’re building. We ask this in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

I hear a confusion of hearts, a tangle of affections and jealousies, and I bring you this word from the throne of God: "There is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared." Whatever else may be amiss, begin there, with the pardon that is certain, full, and eternal. If you have cried out under a sense of sin, if your soul is cast down within you, yet hear this, "I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins." God himself proclaims forgiveness, and it is surprising in its breadth, complete in its scope. Do not draw a limit where He has drawn none.

You speak of your mother, and words that wound, and a jealousy that tears the household. Jealousy is cruel as the grave; its arrows are like coals of juniper, having a most vehement flame. Yet there is a love that is stronger still, the love of Christ constraining us. Let that high jealousy which the Lord has for His people, a pure and holy flame, teach you what true love must guard. Pray for your mother; bear with her faults as Christ bears with yours. Forgive her, even as Christ forgave you. It is a joint-stock business of mutual forgiveness, and we who have been forgiven much must forgive freely. Let not your own spirit be soured by suspicion; rather, overcome evil with good.

As for your brother and your mother, I bid you look to the Pattern of all forgiveness. See how Christ deals with us: He forgives first and then calls us to return. His pardon is absolute, the tally is destroyed, the record nailed to His cross. If He so forgives, can you not pray that they may be reconciled? Wrestle at the throne of grace, for God delights to heal divisions. Say to the Lord, "Let it be so, for Jesus' sake." There is no debt so great but His blood can cancel it; no quarrel so bitter but His love can sweeten it.

You name also one dear to your heart, your girlfriend. I will pray for you both, but I charge you: see that your love is pure, guarded by the holy jealousy that beglongs to the Lord alone. The marriage-covenant is the tenderest point of a sacred jealousy, and God holds it in high honor. If you would be blessed, walk in the paths of righteousness; let your union be such as He can smile upon. For now, I commit you to the Lord who hears prayer.

But this I press upon you above all: there is forgiveness for your own soul, now, at this moment. Whether your sins have been many or few, young or old, the blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth from all sin. That whisper from the mercy-seat, "There is forgiveness," is not a perhaps, but a divine certainty. Flee to God through Christ, and you will find Him ready to blot out everything. Do not delay, lest you perish in the black pall of despair. "There is forgiveness", let it enter your soul and drive all hobgoblins away. And then, being forgiven, go and forgive; being loved, go and love. So shall the peace of God rule in your heart, and your home shall be a temple where His name is praised.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Cut out the root of these conflicts and you will find peace. All strife, whether in a household or among friends, springs from covetousness, envy, or vainglory. Learn to despise the fleeting things of this life, money, reputation, the favor of men, and even here you will receive your reward, freed from anxiety, plotting, and false accusation. When your mother speaks words that trouble you, do not let them kindle a fire of wrath. Remember that against an elder no accusation should be received lightly; be satisfied with sure testimony, and go to her with love to reprove gently, lest she has not spoken as you think. For idle words bring judgment, and if you harbor suspicion you wound your own soul.

Bring your brother and mother together in the name of the Lord, for where two or three are gathered, He is present. Do not let separation remain, but bind one another in love. Honor your father and mother, as God commands, and do not make void that commandment by anger or resentment. Yet know that the truest kinship is to do the will of the Father; then you become brother, sister, and mother to Christ. Strive therefore to walk in that obedience, for on the last day no brother can redeem you, nor any family rescue you, each must give account for his own works.

Pray for them, and for ###, that all may seek the treasure above, where envy cannot reach. Let your request be not merely for mended relationships, but for hearts transformed by the love of heavenly things. Then shall these domestic storms be stilled, and you will find a peace that surpasses every earthly hope.
