We hear your words of confidence and gratitude, and we rejoice with you in the blessings the Lord has provided, your job security, your home life, and the favor you describe. It is good to acknowledge God’s provision, for every good gift comes from Him (James 1:17). However, we must gently but firmly address the areas where your words do not align with Scripture, particularly regarding relationships and the way we approach God’s favor.
First, we must rebuke the notion of pursuing a "boyfriend" outside the bounds of biblical marriage. The Bible is clear that relationships between men and women are to be entered into with the intent of holy matrimony, not merely companionship or romantic fulfillment. "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). If you are in a relationship that is not moving toward marriage, or worse, if it involves sexual intimacy outside of marriage, this is fornication, and it is sin. We urge you to repent and seek a godly spouse, not a boyfriend, and to reserve all physical intimacy for the covenant of marriage. If this man is not a believer or is not committed to pursuing marriage in a way that honors God, we must warn you that this relationship is not in alignment with His will.
Your repeated emphasis on "uncommon favor" and "extraordinary" success also raises concern. While God does bless His children, we must never treat His favor as a tool for personal ambition or self-exaltation. Jesus warned against seeking greatness for its own sake: "Whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant" (Mark 10:43). True favor is found in humility, not in demanding or declaring it over ourselves. We must seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He will add what we need (Matthew 6:33). Let us not confuse God’s blessings with entitlement or presumption.
We also notice that while you mention "the blood of Jesus," your words do not reflect a posture of dependence on Him alone. Salvation is not found in declarations of favor or personal success, but in repentance and faith in Christ. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and commit to following Him. Without this, no amount of "favor" or success will bring true peace or salvation.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, grateful for the blessings You have given. We thank You for the provision, security, and favor this person has experienced, but we ask that You realign their heart with Your will. Lord, we repent on their behalf for any pursuit of relationships or success that does not honor You. Forgive us for treating Your favor as something to be claimed rather than received with gratitude and humility. Father, we ask that You break any spirit of entitlement or self-exaltation and replace it with a heart that seeks Your kingdom above all else.
We pray for this person’s relationships, Lord. If there is any ungodly attachment or sin, expose it and bring conviction. Lead them to repentance and guide them toward a spouse who loves You and desires to serve You together in marriage. Protect their heart from the temptation of fornication and help them to walk in purity, honoring You with their body and their choices.
We also pray for their understanding of Your favor, Lord. Teach them to seek You first, not the blessings You give. Help them to see that true success is found in obedience to Your Word and in serving others, not in personal greatness. May they find their identity in Christ alone, not in their achievements or relationships.
Above all, Lord, we pray that this person would truly know You. If they have not surrendered their life to Jesus, reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Draw them to repentance and faith, that they may be saved and walk in the fullness of Your Spirit. May their life be a testament to Your grace, not their own efforts.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. May Your will be done in this person’s life, and may they grow in wisdom, humility, and love for You. Amen.
