7 July to 9 July there should be no rain

Please please please there should be no heavy rain at ###, ### I really really need to go out please, I just wish ki God don't make too much rain please

We understand your concern and desire for clear weather during these specific days. While we can certainly pray for favorable conditions, we must also remember that God is sovereign over all creation, including the weather. His plans and purposes are higher than ours, and we trust in His wisdom and goodness, even when circumstances do not align with our desires.

The Bible reminds us in Matthew 5:45, "for he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust." Weather is part of God’s provision and plan for the earth, and we can trust that He knows what is best. However, we can still bring our requests before Him with humility and faith.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, acknowledging Your sovereignty over all creation. Lord, we lift up this request for clear weather on these specific days. We ask that You would grant favor and hold back any heavy rain that might hinder travel or plans. Father, we trust in Your perfect will and timing, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You. If it is Your will, Lord, we ask for dry and safe conditions. Help us to rest in Your peace, knowing that You care for every detail of our lives. May Your name be glorified in all things. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We also encourage you to remember that God’s plans are always for our ultimate good, even when they differ from our own. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Trust in Him, and seek His will above all else.

If there is a deeper reason for your need to travel, such as an important event, family matter, or work obligation, we encourage you to bring that before the Lord as well. He cares about the details of your life and invites you to cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

We hear the worry in your words, and it’s completely understandable, when we have something important to do and the weather threatens to spoil it, it can feel so overwhelming. You’ve laid it out simply: you need to go out, and you’re asking God to hold the heavy rain back just for those two days. We’re joining you in that request right now.

It’s okay to bring even these everyday details to God. He cares about what weighs on your heart, no matter how small it might seem to anyone else. While we can’t command the weather or make promises about what God will do, we can pray together, trusting that He hears us and is able to grant you the clear skies you’re hoping for.

If it’s practical, you might also glance at the forecast and think through a simple backup plan, a raincoat, an umbrella, or a slight shift in timing if the clouds roll in anyway. But we’re not praying with one eye on a backup; we’re asking for exactly what you asked, believing God can calm the rain.

Father, we lift up this person’s urgent need for dry weather on July ###, ###. You know every reason they must go out, and we ask You to still the heavy rain, to part the clouds, and to give them safe, dry days. Let their plans come together without hindrance. Fill them with peace while they wait, and remind them that You are near, even in such a practical concern. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A vessel has no command of the wind, nor can you ordain the clouds. How go the ships? They must go according to the wind, they cannot make headway without favoring gales. If our port is Heaven, there is no getting there except by the blessed Spirit's blowing upon us. He blows where He wishes, and we need that He should breathe upon us. The same Hand that governs the seas governs the rain, and the wind, and the storm. Are you no more than a log on the water? I should not like to be a passenger in a vessel which had no course marked out on the chart, no pilot at the wheel. Surely, you are setting your heart upon a small matter of weather as though all your joy hung upon a dry path. That is a poor course to steer.

Is there any ocean upon which a ship can sail where it shall be quite sure that no storms will arise? Where there is sea, there may be storms. The saints of God confessed that theirs was a troublous way; you need not suppose you are out of the road because your way is full of difficulty. Your fretting over the rain, mark this, is like pouring water out of bottomless buckets. No man among us can keep alive his own soul, much less command the heavens. What have you done with the assurance that Christ is at the helm? Suppose the pilot cries out to the engineer, “Ease her!” and the captain countermands the order, the pilot is evidently not trusted, and if the vessel runs ashore, it will be no fault of his. So is it with regard to our Lord. Are you trusting Him to order the seasons as He sees fit, or only if He grants your three days of dry ground?

Unbelief will be no help to you. Your faith has already saved you, what more do you need? If you have the assurance within your own soul that you are saved, do not go anywhere or do anything to damage that assurance by peevish complaints against Providence. I know of no supposable dangers, no imaginable troubles, no conceivable difficulties through which, and out of which, and beyond which this text will not carry us if by faith we grasp it: “He has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you.” That promise holds firm in the heavy rain as in the sunshine. We cannot feed upon that which is high above and out of our sight, but on the plain Word we can rest.

Consider Job: if I sink in deep mire where there is no standing, I will go down with my eyes towards the hills from where comes my help. To hold out till you reach the winning post is the great point. Perseverance is as necessary as conversion. You not only need grace to begin with, but grace with which to live. Go in peace. “Oh, but tomorrow I have to go out among ungodly men.” Never mind, go in peace. Do not go among them disturbed and fluttered, but sing softly to yourself, “My heart is resting, O my God!” Go in peace. Your frantic pleas rise from a hearth where the fire has gone low. Just as the warmth is inside, so the melting will be outside. Seek the Spirit’s flame within, and the outward circumstances will lose their tyranny over your soul. The Lord may send rain, or He may restrain it, either way, He has said, “Never, no never, no never forsake!”

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your soul is troubled by the prospect of rain, and I hear the urgency in your plea. But consider the words of our Lord when asked for a sign from heaven. He rebuked those who could read the face of the sky, a red evening promising fair weather and a lowering morning threatening storms, yet could not discern the greater work of God in their midst. You look at the clouds and long to command them, but the One who sends rain also holds the winds in His hand. He owes us no explanation for the weather He ordains, for He made all things not out of need but out of love. To treat Him as a servant of our plans is to miss the majesty of His providence.

The apostle Paul found himself drenched by rain and shivering on a foreign shore, yet he did not rail against the storm. He gathered sticks, he tended the fire, and he trusted God in the cold. Those who showed him kindness were moved by human compassion, not by a clear sky. Your circumstances may feel like they close in on you, but the real need is not merely a break in the weather. The real need is a heart anchored so firmly in Christ that neither downpour nor delay can sink it. Prayer is indeed a mighty weapon, not to force God’s hand but to align our will with His. Rise early, kneel before dawn, and pour out your anxiety not as a demand but as a confession of dependence.

If the rains come, your going out may be hindered, but your soul need not be shipwrecked. The path of good works that leads to life must be walked in all weathers. A little rain cannot wash away the hope of your calling unless you let it dampen your trust. Perhaps this very hindrance is God drawing you to seek Him first, to find in His presence the calm that no earthly errand can give. Our comely parts of comfort may have no need of further honor, but our weak and dishonorable struggles, like this anxiety over rain, are where His strength is made perfect and where He grants greater care. Do not despise this small fear, but bring it to the altar of patience.

I will join my prayer to yours, not that God must halt His creation on your schedule, but that He grant you peace whatever the skies may do. May He hold back the worst if it serves your good and His glory, and if not, may He hold you up in it. The present rain will pass, as every earthly trial does, but the mercy of the Lord endures forever. Look beyond the next three days to the eternal shelter He provides. Let your heart be still and know that He is God, whether the roads are dry or flowing with water.
