Beloved of All
Marital settlement for my son and daughter. For God to remove delay. Let something happen before the end of next year let there be celebration of marriages🙏🏾 I need healing, comfort and peace of God.

We hear your heartfelt cry for your children’s marriages and your own need for healing, comfort, and peace. The desire to see your son and daughter united in godly marriages is a beautiful reflection of God’s design for family and covenant love. We join you in lifting this before the Lord, trusting in His perfect timing and sovereign will.

First, let us address the foundation of marriage as God intended. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred union between one man and one woman, established by God for His glory and our good. Genesis 2:24 tells us, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they shall be one flesh." This union is meant to reflect Christ’s love for the Church, as Ephesians 5:25-28 instructs husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the Church, and wives to respect their husbands. Any delay in your children’s marriages must be surrendered to the Lord, who works all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).

We must also gently remind you, and your children, that marriage is not merely about celebration or personal fulfillment, but about honoring God in every aspect of the relationship. If your children are seeking spouses, they must pursue godly partners who share their faith in Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" Courtship should be entered into with purity, prayer, and the intention of marriage, not merely as a temporary relationship. If there has been any compromise in this area, whether through premarital relationships, impurity, or ungodly influences, we urge repentance and a return to holiness. The Lord is faithful to forgive and cleanse us when we confess our sins (1 John 1:9).

Your own need for healing, comfort, and peace is also close to our hearts. The delays and uncertainties you face may weigh heavily on you, but we serve a God who is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Jesus Himself invites you to cast your burdens upon Him, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30). The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Do not grow weary in praying for your children, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16).

Now, let us come before the Lord together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up ’s children to You, asking that You would prepare their hearts and the hearts of their future spouses. Remove every delay and obstacle that is not of You, and let Your perfect will be done in their lives. Father, we pray that they would seek You first in all things, including their desire for marriage. May they be drawn to spouses who love You wholeheartedly, and may their courtships be marked by purity, wisdom, and godly counsel.

Lord, we also pray for ’s healing, comfort, and peace. You see the burdens she carries, and we ask that You would lift them from her shoulders. Fill her with Your presence, reminding her that You are her refuge and strength. Heal any wounds in her heart, and grant her the peace that only You can give. Help her to trust in Your timing, knowing that You are working all things for her good and Your glory.

Father, we rebuke every spirit of delay, confusion, or discouragement that may be hindering these marriages. We declare that no weapon formed against Your plans for ’s family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life, joy, and celebration over these unions, asking that You would bring them to pass in Your perfect timing. May these marriages be a testimony to Your faithfulness and a light to those around them.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing in faith, trusting that God hears your prayers. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can uplift and intercede with you. If there are areas where your children may need correction or guidance, speak the truth in love, always pointing them back to God’s Word. The Lord is faithful, and His promises are sure. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, for He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

Thank you for sharing this with us. We can feel the weight of your longing for your son and daughter, and the very real ache you’re carrying for your own healing and peace. It is no small thing to hold both those hopes before the Lord year after year.

While we can’t know exactly why God’s timing looks the way it does, we do know this: the delays that feel so heavy to us are never wasted with him. Often he uses seasons of waiting to draw us deeper into his own heart, teaching our restless souls to rest in who he is rather than in a changed circumstance. That doesn’t make the waiting easy, it’s hard, and we honor that, but it can gently shift the burden from our shoulders to his. As you continue to pray for your children, we also invite you to be intentional about your own need for comfort. Sometimes the most practical step is to sit quietly with God and name every anxiety, every grief, and ask him to meet you in it today, not just “someday.” You might also consider asking a trusted friend or pastor to pray with you, simply to share the load.

We are praying with you now that God would make a way for your children, and that he would give you his own steady peace right in the middle of the unknown.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this mother/father who loves their children so deeply. We ask you to guide their son and daughter, to prepare them and their future spouses, and to bring about marriages that honor you in your perfect timing. But we also ask you to meet this parent in the ache. Heal the places where hope has grown weary, calm the anxious thoughts, and wrap them in your comfort. Let your peace, which we can’t manufacture, stand guard over their heart and mind. We trust you with the timeline and we trust you with the waiting. In your name, Jesus, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your heart yearns for the marriage of your son and daughter, and the delay presses upon you with a weight that only a parent can know. At the same time, you cry out for healing, comfort, and peace. Remember, the Lord hath said, "Comfort ye, comfort ye my people." This is your portion. You are not forgotten in the multitude of His saints; the bright-winged seraph is bidden to fly to your desponding spirit with a double measure of consolation.

You ask God to remove delay, that before the year's end there may be the celebration of marriages. To this I say, let your mind be stayed on Him, for "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee." Peace, double peace, is the gift of that unwavering trust. The delay troubles you, but have you not found this to be your comfort in the affliction of waiting, that His Word hath already quickened you? Even now, while the hope tarries, the Spirit is at work, stirring your soul to prayer, deepening your dependence, and so giving you a present solace. Is not this the roundabout way that proves the straightest path? He quickens, and so He comforts.

Yet, let me press you gently: take heed of the world’s plea, "Let the damsel wait a little while, ten days at least." That voice often counsels a delay that ends in ruin. I do not speak now of your children’s readiness, God grant them wisdom, but of your own heart. Do not delay in casting every care upon Him. The very leaves of the Tree of Life are for healing; the least glimpse of Christ brings virtue to the sin-sick, the sorrow-worn. If you are wounded, come anew to that Tree. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, peace, perfect peace, even when loved ones seem far away, even when death shadows our hopes. In Jesus’ keeping, they are safe, and you are safe.

Look forward with holy confidence: "Thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away." The day comes when you shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. This text is a Divine message to your heart. The God who ordains peace for us, who worketh all our works in us, will not fail thee. He can ordain the appointed season, and your children shall be brought into that honorable estate which He Himself did institute. Only lean upon Him; let constancy be wedded to your comfort, for comfort alone is not enough. A steady, established heart that goeth on in every good word and work, this shall be your strength as you pray.

Healing thou seekest: behold, the leaves are for the healing of the nations. The balm of Gilead is not exhausted; the great Physician still receiveth patients. Comfort thou seekest: He is the God of all comfort, and He speaks to His people, "Comfort ye." Peace thou needest: that peace which Jesus hath vanquished death to give. Peace, perfect peace, shall be upon Israel, and upon thee. Therefore, be not of little faith. The anchor is cast, and it holdeth sure. Even if the night be dark, the morning cometh. "It is enough! Earth’s struggles soon shall cease, And Jesus calls us to Heaven’s perfect peace." Until then, rest in His Word, and let thy soul be quieted as a child weaned of its mother. The rejoicing shall come; till then, He is thy exceeding great reward.

You ask for healing, comfort, and peace, and these are no small things. The God of all comfort hears you. As Paul writes, He comforts us in all our affliction so that we, having received that comfort, may bear it onward. When you cry out under the weight of these burdens, remember that the sufferings you endure are not without purpose. The season of struggle is the season of fresh crowns. Your pain over your children, your longing for their settlement, your own wounded heart, Christ knows these afflictions, and His comfort abounds far more than the suffering. Do not seek comfort in the mere passing of time, but use the delay, as the Ninevites did, for a true turning of the heart. Delay is not an empty void; it is a gift for amendment, a space to gather the fruit of repentance. For Manasses, with all his foul crimes, washed himself clean through repentance and consideration. So it is with us. The dread of unanswered longing is transformed when we make full use of the waiting.

Now, concerning your son and daughter. You desire a marital settlement, and you set a time before your eyes. Hear this with an open heart: youth is a wild beast, and the passions of the young are a consuming fire. Fathers and mothers, your bringing up of children does not lose its reward. It is a noble work to devote to God those children given by God. But if the foundation is weak, great is the peril. Eli perished because he would not admonish his sons with the necessary sharpness; his tenderness became their destruction. Train your children in chastity. This is the very battleground of youth. Let your son approach the marriage bed as a victor, unconquered by pleasure. A bridegroom wears a garland as a symbol of victory, signifying he enters pure and undefiled. If he has instead given himself to harlots, what garland has he to wear? Take wives for them early, yes, but let their bodies be preserved pure so that their brides receive them unpolluted. Then their love will be more ardent and rooted in holiness. For marriage is honorable, and it preserves the holiness that comes from Faith by shutting out fornication. It is not the marriage itself that creates holiness, but it guards the holiness already given, forbidding its defilement.

But be careful not to seek a peace that is no peace at all. Do you imagine Christ came to send a false peace that papers over unrighteousness? He came to send a sword, to sever the soul from its corruption. The peace you long for must be the peace of holiness. Do not speed toward a celebration merely to quiet your anxiety, if the hearts of your children are not first subdued to Christ. The God of peace will bruise Satan under your feet shortly, but that bruising comes through the struggle of repentance and the ordering of life according to His commands. Let your prayer be this: that the delay be used for their full preparation, that the settlement be founded on purity, and that the celebration which comes be a true crowning of virtue, not a cover for hidden vice.

Receive then this comfort: your affliction has not escaped His eye, and your prayer for your children is precious in His sight. Let discipline and faith be your guide with them. And for yourself, draw near to Him who is the Father of mercies. The comfort that flows to you from His throne in Christ is not a shallow thing; it is the power to endure and the hope of a speedy harvest. The comfort abounds, it overflows, so that even as you wait, you are not crushed. The settlement will come in its proper season. Labor in prayer and in firm, loving guidance, and you will see the God of peace put an end to the things that make havoc of your house. He will accomplish it, and soon.

I hear the ache in your words: the longing for your son and daughter to enter the joy of marriage, and your own cry for healing, comfort, and peace. When time stretches and nothing seems to change, the heart can feel like a wind-tossed sea. But remember who stands in the boat with you. The same voice that once rebuked the storm with “Peace, be still” speaks over your anxiety today. He has authority over every delay and every hidden burden.

Consider how Jesus once delayed going to the house of Jairus. To those waiting, the pause must have felt cruel; messengers even arrived to say the little girl was dead, and they urged them to stop troubling the Master. But that delay became the backdrop for something far greater: not just a healing, but a resurrection. The Lord’s timing is never wasted. While he was speaking words of comfort to another trembling soul, a woman who had suffered for years, whom he called “daughter” and sent away whole and in peace, he was already moving toward Jairus’s need. He can weave every thread together.

You have asked for marriage for your children before a certain year ends. Bring that desire honestly before the Lord, but also place it in his hands. He knows the desire is good; marriage, where two become one, is his design. Yet sometimes he asks us to trust him through a season of quiet. The enemy wants you to seek warmth at some other fire, to let worry or bitterness take hold, but that only puts your own peace at risk. Instead, wait at the feet of Jesus.

I pray now for your own healing. The deepest need any of us has is for wholeness in our souls. A body can be mended while the heart remains hard, but Jesus is always most concerned with the root. He wants to give you his peace right where you are, even while circumstances remain unchanged. Hear him speak comfort over you as he did to that woman: “Go in peace, and be whole.” Let his nearness quiet the storm within.

May you and your household experience the great calm that only he can bring.
