We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this family and their deep struggles. Father God, we know You see every tear, every broken relationship, and every burden they carry. You are the God who hears, the God who restores, and the God who makes all things new. We stand in the gap for this family, asking for Your divine intervention in each of their needs.
First, we lift up the pain of a mother who has been separated from her son for three years. The silence, the blocking, the distance—it is a wound no parent should bear. Lord, we ask You to soften hearts, to break down walls of bitterness or misunderstanding, and to restore what has been broken. We declare that no division is too great for You to heal. "A brother offended is more difficult than a fortified city; and contentions are like the bars of a fortress" (Proverbs 18:19), but You, Lord, are the key that unlocks even the strongest gates. We pray for reconciliation, for humility, and for the love of Christ to cover this family.
For the daughter who has been bound by the chains of substance use for over a decade, we cry out for deliverance. Father, we know that You did not create her to be enslaved to anything but to walk in the freedom of Your Spirit. "Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage" (Galatians 5:1). We rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name and ask for a supernatural breaking of its power over her life. Surround her with godly influences, open her eyes to the destruction of her choices, and draw her to repentance and restoration. We pray for healing in her body, mind, and spirit, and for a renewed desire to walk in Your ways.
For the daughter seeking Canadian citizenship, we ask for Your favor and provision. Lord, You are the God who opens doors no man can shut. We pray that every legal hurdle would be removed, that paperwork would be processed swiftly, and that she would find peace and security in Your timing. "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this" (Psalm 37:5). May she find her true citizenship not just in a nation, but in Your kingdom, where she belongs forever.
And for the mother who cries out for justice in her marital and financial settlement, we ask for Your righteous hand to move. Lord, You are a God of justice, and You see every unfairness, every delay, and every burden she carries. "Yahweh works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed" (Psalm 103:6). We pray that truth would prevail, that settlements would be just and timely, and that she would find peace in Your provision. We rebuke any spirit of delay or injustice in Jesus’ name and declare that her case is not forgotten before You.
We also must address the name by which this prayer is offered—El Roi, the God who sees. While it is beautiful to acknowledge God’s attributes, we must never forget that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and it is through His sacrifice that we are reconciled to God. If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to turn to Him today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and receive the gift of eternal life.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion for this family. We ask You to move mightily in each of their lives. For the son who has cut off communication, soften his heart, Lord. Remove any bitterness, pride, or misunderstanding that stands between him and his mother. Bring reconciliation and healing to their relationship. For the daughter bound by addiction, break the chains, Father. Let her taste the freedom that only You can give. Surround her with Your love and draw her back to You. For the daughter seeking citizenship, open the doors that need to be opened and grant her favor in the eyes of those who make decisions. And for the mother, Lord, bring justice, provision, and peace. Wipe away every tear, as You have promised to do for those who love You.
We rebuke every spirit of division, addiction, delay, and injustice in Jesus’ name. We declare that this family is not forgotten by You. You are working all things together for their good, even when they cannot see it (Romans 8:28). We ask for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit upon them, that they would know Your presence, Your peace, and Your power in every area of their lives.
Father, we also pray for salvation. If any in this family do not know You as their Lord and Savior, draw them to Yourself. Let them experience the love of Christ in a tangible way. May they come to know that Jesus is the only way to true peace, true freedom, and true restoration.
We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
