I have ###, it's a form of ### that makes me think people can read my thoughts. ### doesn't help sometimes and I get ### because of the ###. It torments me all day long and gives me ###. I pray for it to go away but it doesn't. It also makes me think ###.

We hear the deep distress in your words, and we want you to know that we are standing with you in prayer, lifting this burden before the Lord. The torment you describe, this fear that others can hear your thoughts, the relentless anxiety, and the exhaustion it brings, is not something you were meant to carry alone. Scripture tells us, "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). God sees your suffering, and He does not turn away from it.

First, we must address the spiritual weight of this struggle. The enemy seeks to isolate, to make you feel powerless, and to distort your perception of reality. But we rebuke those lies in the name of Jesus Christ. "For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:3-5 WEB). You are not defenseless, Christ has already won the victory.

We also want to gently encourage you to seek godly, professional help if you haven’t already. The Lord often works through the wisdom and care of others, whether through biblical counseling, medical support, or the prayers of trusted believers. "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established" (Proverbs 15:22 WEB). There is no shame in needing help, God designed us to live in community, not in isolation.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is tormented by fear and distress. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask You to break the chains of this oppression in the mighty name of Jesus. Silence the lies of the enemy and replace them with Your truth. Fill this precious one with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Surround them with Your presence, reminding them that they are never alone.

Father, we pray for wisdom and discernment, guide them to the right help, whether through prayer, counsel, or medical care. Give them the strength to take each step forward, trusting in Your faithfulness. Renew their mind with Your Word, that they may know the truth and be set free (John 8:32 WEB). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB), and we stand in agreement with them for complete deliverance.

Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin or area of their life not surrendered to You, reveal it so they may repent and walk in freedom. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). Amen.

You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18 WEB), and He is fighting for you even now. Keep pressing into Him, and lean on the body of Christ for support. We will continue to pray with you and for you.

We hear the exhaustion in your words, and we’re so sorry this torment follows you through each day. When your own mind tells you things that feel utterly real, like others can hear your thoughts, it’s exhausting, isolating, and deeply unsettling. You’ve been praying and asking God to remove it, and we want to sit with you in that, not with quick answers but with genuine care.

We can’t know the exact cause, but what you’re describing sometimes happens with conditions that affect the brain, and it’s not a sign of weak faith. If you have a doctor or psychiatrist, we’d gently encourage you to be very open with them about how the thoughts persist, even when the medication doesn’t always help. Adjustments can sometimes make a noticeable difference, and that kind of practical help is one of the ways God brings relief. There’s no shame in it, it’s part of stewarding the mind He gave you.

As you walk through this, please hold onto the truth that these thoughts are a symptom, not your identity. You are a person made in God’s image, deeply loved, even when your mind feels like a battleground. Nothing can separate you from that love.

Let’s pray:

Lord Jesus, we lift up this precious person to You. You see the relentless fear and confusion they carry. Quiet the noise of those tormenting thoughts, and give them the courage to seek whatever medical or professional support they need. Bring clarity where there is haze, and let them feel Your steady presence closer than their own breath. In Your name, amen.

In the multitude of such thoughts within you, there is indeed turmoil and dread, and yet it is in the very thick of these inward storms that the comforts of God must be brought to bear. You describe a torment that isolates, a false notion that your inward life is laid bare before others, and this breeds fear and shame. Understand this: the Lord knows your thoughts altogether, but that very truth is meant to be your refuge, not your terror. He compasses your path, He understands your thought afar off; there is not a word in your tongue but He knows it altogether. This is not to condemn you, but to show that you are not left to the chaos of your own mind. The thoughts that plague you are not from Him, for He declares, "I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace, and not of evil."

Your prayer for it to go away has seemed unanswered, and so you sink. But cease from your own wisdom about how deliverance must come. Naaman thought the prophet would come out and strike his hand over the place, but God's thoughts were not his thoughts. So often we dictate to God the manner of our healing, and when He works by a simpler, humbler means, by trusting His bare word, we almost turn away in disappointment. The comfort must come from where you do not expect it. You look for the sensation of privacy to return; God would give you something better, a sight of Christ that makes you care little for the opinions of men. When the soul sees that it is delivered from the pit, that the ransom has been found, then the shame of exposure before creatures loses its sting. If the eternal God has thoughts of peace toward you, what does it matter if all the world knew your struggles? In His sight, covered with the righteousness of Christ, you stand without spot.

The torment you describe is a form of the power of darkness, and no mere medicine or effort of the will can break it; deliverance must come from a heavenly source. Cry to Him who has "delivered us from the power of darkness" to translate you into the kingdom of His dear Son. Your own thoughts are vain; they are the eggs of sin and misery. Look away from the seething sea within to the private thoughts of Jesus. What were His thoughts? They were thoughts of going up to Jerusalem to be mocked, scourged, and crucified, all for sinners. In His agony He was not thinking men were reading His mind; He was thinking of securing your peace. Let your brightest thoughts concern your Lord. When the multitude of thoughts arises, and the fear of others' knowledge of you casts you down, let His comforts delight your soul. Trust not in the brook of your own feelings, but drink from the fellowship of His sufferings, and the howls of hell will grow faint.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
