Troubles and despondency, when borne with patience, are not a sign of God’s abandonment but rather the very means by which He perfects salvation. The grace that brings salvation has appeared, teaching us to deny worldly lusts and to live godly in this present age. When a man is without work and sunk in gloom, the soul is thrown back upon God. That emptiness can become the good ground where the seed of the word takes root, provided there is careful hearing, fortitude, and a true contempt of worldly things. Yet the same grace warns that hearing alone is not sufficient; there must be deliverance from all that chokes the word, from the care of this world and the deceitfulness of riches, which are the hidden roots of every vice and addiction. That is the inner healing you seek: not merely a lifting of mood, but the uprooting of disordered affections that bind the heart.

As for those who do not speak to you, this trial can work the very salvation of all three, if you endure it patiently. Affliction is given for comfort and salvation, both for those who suffer and for those who witness steadfast hope. Be careful then: do not pray against these persons, for an unlawful prayer against another adds grievous enhancement to our other sins and dims our own hope of salvation. Instead, weep for them as for those who are sick and know not their best friends, for it is a mark of those who are perishing not to recognize the things that lead to salvation. God, who is rich in mercy, hears the prayers of His people and often delivers through affliction, drawing souls to Himself. The Captain of our salvation was made perfect through sufferings; if the eternal Word, who was with God and is God, entered into our sorrows, shall He not also heal the brokenhearted and reconcile hearts estranged?

Therefore, I will pray that these three may hear the Bridegroom’s voice with great joy, that the grace of God may appear to them, pardoning all former sins and giving them power to deny ungodliness and every worldly lust. Let their deliverance from addiction be no half-turn but a true conversion of the will. And you, stand firm, not confounded by their silence or your own heaviness, but looking for that blessed hope, the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, to redeem us from all iniquity and purify a people zealous of good works.

I want you to know that the request you have brought is heard, and it matters deeply. When we hold up names and situations like these before the Lord, we are not just whispering into the wind. We are bringing real burdens, real brokenness, and real souls into the presence of the King.

There is a reality about God’s inner court, His throne room of grace. We are told that no one can just burst in uninvited, demanding an audience. And yet, through Jesus the Messiah, whose very name means "the Lord our salvation," we have been given a golden scepter of favor. He has opened the way for us to stand before the King and intercede for these three. So we do not have to wonder if our prayers are presumptuous. We stand on the ground of His grace, asking Him to do what only He can do.

I am praying for the one who is depressed and without work. It is a heavy, grinding weight to feel both the inner darkness and the outer emptiness of having no provision. Remember, our God is not confined to instant fixes. He established healing processes within the body and the mind, and often His work is gradual. We can ask Him to begin a healing in the emotions, to mend the wounds of the spirit, even if the outward change comes step by step. As we pray for deliverance from addiction, we are asking the mighty hand of God to break chains that no human strength can snap. Salvation is the great reversal; what the enemy intends for evil, God can bend toward good, turning the tables on what has held a person captive.

For the two who are not speaking to you, the silence is a pain of its own. The inner healing needed here touches relationships and hearts that have grown cold or distant. Pray for the grace of God that brings salvation to appear to them. That grace not only saves but softens. We ask that the Lord do a work in their inner man, strengthening them by His Spirit, so that the silence might one day be broken, not for the sake of an empty peace, but for genuine reconciliation in Christ.

Above all, we are seeking their salvation. There is no other name given for this. The law, self-effort, and time cannot secure it. Salvation comes through a living faith in Jesus Christ. It is the grace of God that brings salvation, and today is the day of salvation. We do not wait for a better moment; we act upon the promise that now is the accepted time. We persist in prayer that each one would submit to the Lordship of Jesus, not as a grim surrender, but as the moment a condemned person sees the King’s scepter extended and obtains unthinkable favor.

So I am joining you in working out this burden with godly fear and trembling, not trying to earn anything, but actively participating in what God is already willing to do. Keep bringing these three before the throne. Stand in that sacred place of prayer, clothed not in your own righteousness but in His, and believe that God has set them on your heart for a purpose that reaches far down the road. He is working, and no genuine plea for their deliverance, healing, and salvation is ever wasted before Him.
