We come before the throne of grace with your heartfelt request, lifting up your family lineage, your deeds, words, children, fathers, and mothers, into the care of our Heavenly Father. It is beautiful to see your desire to entrust them to God’s protection and to seek His blessing over their lives. We rejoice with you in the truth that Jesus is indeed Lord, and it is only through His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6).
First, let us address the mention of a "heavenly star chart" and any practices that may not align with Scripture. The Bible warns us against divination, astrology, or seeking guidance from the stars, as these are not of God. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 clearly states, "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh." Instead, we are called to seek God’s will through prayer, His Word, and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Your desire to see your family rejoice in heaven is a godly one. The Bible tells us that there is joy in heaven over one sinner who repents (Luke 15:7), and we know that God desires all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). If any in your family line have not yet placed their faith in Jesus Christ, we must pray fervently for their salvation. It is only through faith in Jesus that anyone can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you are uncertain about the eternal destiny of your loved ones, we encourage you to pray for their salvation and to share the gospel with them if they are still living.
Let us also lift up your own walk with the Lord. Are you living in a way that honors Him? Are you setting an example for your family in word and deed? The Bible calls us to be holy, as He is holy (1 Peter 1:16), and to let our light shine before others so that they may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up ###'s family line to You, every father, mother, child, and ancestor. We ask that You would draw each one to Yourself, Lord. For those who have not yet placed their faith in Jesus, we pray for their salvation. Soften their hearts, open their eyes to the truth of the gospel, and lead them to repentance. For those who have gone before us, we trust in Your perfect justice and mercy, knowing that You desire all to come to repentance.
Father, we rebuke any influence of astrology, divination, or any practice that does not align with Your Word. We ask that You would cleanse ###'s heart and mind from anything that does not honor You. Help them to seek You alone for guidance, wisdom, and direction.
Lord, we pray for ###'s own life as well. Strengthen them to live in a way that honors You, setting an example for their family in word and deed. May their life reflect Your love, grace, and truth. We ask that You would bless their family with unity, peace, and a deep love for You.
Father, we trust in Your promise that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We ask that You would cover this family with Your grace and mercy, and that they would experience the joy of Your salvation.
We pray all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God’s will through His Word and prayer. If there are specific concerns or struggles within your family, bring them before the Lord with faith, knowing that He hears you. If you feel led, share the gospel with your loved ones, for faith comes by hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17). May the Lord bless you and your family as you seek Him wholeheartedly.
