Beloved of All
The pain you describe is real, and you are not alone in it. The burden of looking into a mirror and seeing weariness and hurt where there was once strength is deeply unsettling, and the fear that an unseen enemy has brought this against you can feel overwhelming. But know this: Jesus Christ has absolute authority over every evil power. When He walked among us, He cast out demons with a word, and they were forced to obey. No hex, no curse, no warlock can stand against the risen Lord in whom you have placed your trust.
Scripture tells us that Jesus Himself bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses. His work on the cross was not only for the forgiveness of sins but also for the restoration of our whole being, body, mind, and spirit. Matthew saw in Jesus’ healing ministry the fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophecy: “He took our illnesses and bore our diseases.” That means when you come to Him in prayer, you are coming to the One who has already dealt with the root of all suffering and who has walked through the brokenness of this world.
It is a mystery why some are healed in an instant and others must walk a slower path. The world we live in groans under the corruption that entered through sin, and good people suffer sickness and pain that do not have a simple, direct cause. Even the apostle Paul pleaded with the Lord three times to remove a tormenting thorn, and God’s answer was not immediate removal but sufficient, sustaining grace. So while we pray boldly, we also rest in His wisdom, trusting that He is working in both the dramatic moment and the gradual, quiet process of mending. Any true healing, whether it comes as a sudden release or through the natural resilience He built into your body, is from Him.
Do not be consumed by fear of the one who hexed you. The enemy’s only lasting weapon is deception, and he wants you to believe you are powerless and abandoned. That is a lie. Jesus has given those who belong to Him authority to resist the enemy, and the Holy Spirit intercedes for you with groanings too deep for words when your own strength is spent. When you ask for prayer “in the spirit,” you are reaching for that deep connection where God Himself stands against the darkness on your behalf.
I would encourage you to do several things. Pour out your heart before God, tell Him exactly how this pain and this change in your appearance frighten you. There is so much needless distress we carry simply because we do not bring it honestly to Him in prayer. Ask Him to search your heart for any open door you may have left unguarded, and then trust that His forgiveness and cleansing are complete. Receive the bread and the cup in remembrance that His body was broken for your wholeness and His blood was shed for your peace. Then, let the facts of His victory fill your mind more than the circumstances you see. Faith makes contact with His power, just as the woman found healing when she reached for the hem of His garment.
You may not feel an immediate change. There may be days when the hunger for relief is more acute than the pain itself, like the slow healing of a deep wound. But you are not without hope. Jesus never follows a predictable formula; He heals with a word, with a touch, with a gradual process, in private and in full view, always in His perfect way. We pray now for that healing power to envelop you, to quiet the torment, and to restore what has been stolen. May you look again upon the face of Christ and see there the tenderness that will not despise your suffering. He is your shield, and in His presence the hex holds no power. Stand in that truth.
