A former pastor of ours once said if anyone should take the name of the Lord Our God in vain we are to say Blessed Be HIs Name! I've never forgotten that! Anyhow just a little bit about myself. I will be married to my husband 28 years on Oct.12th 2012. I believe in the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman! My husband and I consider ourselves to be conservatives only voting for those that share the same moral and values that we have! We are the parents of a 26 year old son. On Jan. 24th 2010 we became pround grandparents for the very 1st time to our beautiful little granddaughter. My husband is a mechanic and I work with kids. We both admire the Amish often staying in and and around the Bird-In-Hand, Pa area for a weekend away...
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND. Then you will be able to TEST AND APPROVE what God’s will is —his GOOD, PLEASING AND PERFECT WILL. Romans 12:2 The Key to FREELY Enjoy God's Grace is by the Renewing of our Minds. Sometimes we forget all the benefits we have in Christ Jesus because of the circumstances that we face in life.. but the scriptures says that Jesus is the Living water, He cleanses our mind with His word..His word brings joy to our hearts knowing that He is good and He is faithful and He is compassionate and He is slow to anger and He is full of grace.. :) Meditating on this will bring so much comfort to our hearts and an overflowing peace on our minds which will...

By God's mercy and grace, He brought a sinner like me to His love. It is amazing how freely He gives these things. I have been thinking on His desire to save us all. He sent his beloved and honored son to this earth to die for us all. It is his desire and freely given not by anything I could ever do but by His love for us all. I have always needed a technical description of things on almost ever subject. Praise God that He has been showing me things that I have always had such longing questions. One book that God led me to was Amazing Grace. It broke things down for me in a way that I really needed. Thinking over time on these things, I would read and search the Word, asking God to open my eyes to see. One question I have always...
10 Things Jesus Didn't Say Jesus didn’t say, “All roads lead to My Father.†He said, “I am the way!†Jesus didn’t say, “I’ll give you a few helpful hints and the top ten tips on how to live a successful and meaningful life.†He said, “I am the life!†Jesus didn’t say, “I have some good opinions and points of view that you ought to consider.†He said, “I am the truth!†Jesus didn’t say, “There’s lots of good stuff out there for your soul to feed upon, go and graze in any pasture that appeals to your senses.†He said, “I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger.†Jesus didn’t say, “Just do your best. Try really hard, give it all you have and you will become a fruitful...
Growing up with a mother who is very religious, I was, from a very early age, exposed to churches. Remembering back on those times, I must have gone to 7 or more different churches because if my mom heard something that was against her understanding we would no longer attend that church. I used to hate going to church. In fact I wanted nothing to do with it at all. I felt so out of place if I had to be in church. In my teenage years I would not go anymore and what a relief that was for me. If someone would say to me "God loves you" i would cringe and think yea right. Later on in my life I wanted to come to the Lord for I knew something was missing in my life. And when I would find myself in hard times I really wanted to be blessed by...
When I am Christ occupied I find rest in him. Christ rest = no stress, sickness, shame, fear or doubt. When I am under Jesus' wing at rest i receive Grace upon Grace heaped up larger then the highest mountain for the things of this world have no power over me. Being Christ Occupied allows me not to try. Example: When I used to live under what I thought was Grace (it was really the law mixed with what I thought was Grace) condemnation, doubt and fear took hold in my life. If I sinned I would feel a separation from God. I felt that I should pray more, read more or whatever I need to do to so that I could gain favor with God and be back in his his Grace. I would pray so hard for God to be patient with me, ask him to help me work through...
I have prayed many times since I found the Good News of Jesus to turn my will over to Him. I would pray God I turn my will over to you, I want Your will to be done. I would not want to sin but I found my self sinning more. For I felt shame and condemnation. But what I have learned, what I am still learning -praise God- is my lack of understanding of His Grace. For I lived by the law of Moses and not under the law of Grace. As I read my Bible I would always come back to Romans if like God put a fire in me. I always found such peace when I would read Paul's words. One of my favorite part of Romans is 7 all of it but then 21-25 of the same chapter. He is talking about no longer being bound to the law. What does this mean. How are we Free...
