Scriptures Against Fear The following is a list of scriptures on fear. Use them when fear is attempting to come. Fear does not necessarily mean danger, it simply means fear. We associate fear with danger because that is how our body interacts with our God given motivation for self preservation. When we go into a dark room, we might sense fear, especially if we are apprehensive about the dark, but that does not mean that there actually is a danger. It only means that there is an unknown, and that unknown can breed fear – fear of the unknown. To fight the fear of the unknown, counteract it with faith based on the known – the known will of God. All Scriptures are from the King James Version The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want...
Scriptures Against Hopelessness These scriptures on hopelessness will give you hope and will build your faith. Confess and meditate on them to win the fight against hopelessness. The whole fight is about not losing Hope. Allow the hope of God to flow into you. Remember, there is a real Person (God) behind each and every one of these promises. He promised them to you for a reason – to help you. Depression is the emotional result of hopelessness. Joy is the emotional result of hope. Peace is the emotional result of faith. God’s hope encourages, motivates, and keeps you on the road to faith, peace, and victory. Hopelessness breeds and creates the ‘feeling‘ of depression. Fight it with the Word of God. And if you suffer from deep...
Lately, I have been seeing lives all around me falling apart with troubles of every sort. Knowing I was powerless to fix these problems myself; I called on the Lord and He gave me revelation by His word. John 12:24 states, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. He also showed me many more scriptures about the shaking of things in the earth and in the heavens, scriptures about families falling apart and family member being enemies, one against another. Scriptures about love waxing cold, and peace was leaving. The scriptures list was very lengthy and certainly wasn't very positive. The Lord let me know He wasn't interested in...
AGAINST ALL HOPE! Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, "So shall your offspring be." Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah's womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. Romans 4:18-21 Do you feel today that your marriage being restored is "against all hope?" I know you may be battling your emotions and feelings since Christmas and the New Year holidays, but never forget how you started...
Today I chose a special devotional from Bob about what you can be sure of in this new year. Bob who was a prodigal who returned home and was remarried to me for an additional 23 years before the Lord took him home to Heaven. Bob wrote 19 books from the prodigal's perspective for more than two decades after our divorce and remarriage. - Charlyne TOP TEN "FOR SURE" THIS NEW YEAR Can you look at the arrival of 2014 not as another year of standing, but as another year of promise, another year for you to serve the Lord and another year for Him to answer your prayers? We fully understand that we all are living in precarious predicaments in unsettled times. Trouble seems to abound on every side, from the political arena to the job market...
HAPPY NEW YEAR Our family and I want to wish you and your family a very Happy New Year. We pray that this new year you will have a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. We pray that you will pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace. We pray that the Lord will do a mighty work, not only in your life, but also in your husband’s or wife’s life and in your children's lives this year. David sang to the Lord the words of this song when the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. He said: "The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior - from violent men...
From the moment I was saved I had a passion to read the Word and to study it. I was in a dysfunctional marriage and the desperate need to be loved drew me close to God in search of love and in search of understanding it. I started writing poetry as soon as I was saved but it was not until my youngest son was killed that I had a desire to write books and Bible Studies. I did not think of where it would lead me; it was in my heart and I had to do it. I had a hope inside my heart that I could not let go of—it was a hope for love, a hope for my aching heart to be healed, a hope that God would give me a better life and a hope that one day I would be with Him for an eternity and forever away from the heartache of the world. (Zechariah...
THE REASON FOR THE SEASON For years, probably for as long as I can remember, I have heard that the reason for this season of the year is the celebration and remembrance of the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, some 2000 years ago. Let me suggest yet another reason…you and I! In a paradigm shift, think back a few millennia before the birth of Christ to the Garden of Eden. There in the Garden, Adam lived in complete fellowship with God. God enjoyed His fellowship with Adam by walking through the Garden with him and conversing with him. God had given Adam the job of chief caretaker of God’s Paradise, the Garden of Eden. Everything was great. Then Adam fell as sin entered the picture. So in an act of redemption for you and...
BE CONSISTENT Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.†. . .Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. Romans 4:18, 20-21 We are less than 24 hours away from another new year, putting our divorce one more year behind us. I realized that we now have six grandchildren older than our youngest son's age when we divorced. On one hand, it seems like ages ago that we went through all of the horrible mess. I think about some of the things I did, while pretending to be a Christian and...
When I'm dead and gone; What will be my Legacy? How will I be remembered? Or, will anyone remember me at all? It's common knowledge that we do not picture or see ourselves as other people pictures or see's us. We, most of the time, vision ourselves in such a way that other people may not see us in the same way. We like to think highly of our selves. The picture we paint of ourselves may not be the same picture the world see's. We may vision ourselves as a 10, but the world may only see a 4. Its very hard for us to see and admit that we have faults. We can see other people's faults, but when it comes to our own faults; Well............... You get my drift. What i'm trying to say is; that we don't see ourselves as other people see's us...
