Spirituality for me and those of us who have been to hell and back... who are willing to SURRENDER our ego, our will and our lives to the will of OUR CREATOR, and pick up Our Own responsibilities to ourselves and all humanity. Because we know we will not survive, if we don't SURRENDER. We know if we want to survive and survive well, there are principals we must put into action... Honesty*-Hope*-Faith*-Courage*-Integrity*-Willingness*- Humility*-Brotherly Love*-Justice*-Perserverance*-Spirituality*- and share this with others...
SPIRITUALLY DEAD As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. Ephesians 2:1-3 How did you come to know the Lord Jesus Christ personally? All of us, at one time, were spiritually dead, walking on the wrong path of life, accepting the world's standards of morality, until the Lord opened our eyes to see God’s Truths and we confessed and asked for forgiveness of our sins. We...
GOING DEEPER IN THE ONLY RELATIONSHIP THAT MATTERS I have been focusing a lot recently on how I study God’s Word. Do you really study God’s Word or do you treat it like a convenience store, only looking to it when you need a quick pick-me-up? It can be so easy to have my prayer life become a laundry list of my needs and wants. Instead of asking for God’s will in my life, I find myself asking Him to make my desires His will. I find myself reading my Bible, making sure to find just the right scripture to give me my daily dose of encouragement and then move on with my day. Is that the way I treat my other relationships? No way! My husband and I make sure to have time alone each day to talk about the kids, work or life without...
HOW CAN I HELP YOU? The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the LORD. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.†Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?†“Your servant has nothing there at all,†she said, “except a little oil.†2 King 4:1-2 Do you need divine intervention from your Lord today? Your Lord is asking you right now, “How can I help you?†What would your answer be? Your Lord is right there beside you, wanting and waiting for you to ask Him to help you through your fears, your anxieties of the unknown, your marriage problems, or financial struggles...
I CAN’T HEAR FROM GOD Then the Lord replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.†Habakkuk 2:2 How long has it been since you listened to God? Most often, we have the Holy Spirit in competition with our cell phone, the television, car radio, newspaper and a hundred other things, for our attention and then say “I can't hear from God.†Are you really listening, with your sins confessed and an expectant heart, sitting quietly before Him? If our Lord Jesus Christ in the flesh were to walk up beside you right now...
I have been redeemed and the fight is already won. God removes my stony heart and hears my supplication and prayers reinstates my faith. He is a blessed and marvelous God and as the singer says I love him and I love him too. The spiritual relationship with the trinity has already been done and won even before Genesis was written.
God speaks in various ways by the Holy Spirit to those in relationship with His Son. He speaks through His Word (the Bible) and brings to our remembrance things which Jesus has said, He also will speak through prayers (and what He lays on our hearts to pray), through circumstances in our life, and through the body of Christ (godly advice from true believers). And in my experience, I would have to say that He has spoken most clearly when I'm in need of comfort, and taking the time to really listen. Most of the time our minds run at a hectic pace, preoccupied with life and it's problems. So you can see giving God time is essential. Do you long to hear God speaking to you on a regular basis? Here are some ways you can fine-tune...
Hello friends and fellow standers. Not long ago, I testified in a blog about The Lord appointing me to be the Noah for my family. And how what happens in my marriage and family not only affects the 7 of us, but my children's children and their children...it is generational. My stand took on extreme importance once I came to this realization. A few weeks ago, while sitting in my classroom, entering my students grades into the computer, the Holy Spirit swept over me and completely filled me with the Lord' s Mighty Presence. The Lord showed me several things. The first few were very specific and referred to my husband B.J. and his condition, spiritually. Then, the Lord asked me to take a look at my desk. I did and I was truly awestruck...
THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME “Toto, I have a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore†was a statement spoken by Dorothy in the story, The Wizard of Oz. Who among us could ever forget this famous line from the opening scenes of the movie? This beautiful story speaks volumes to all of us of our own human desire to be safe and secure in the familiar surroundings of our own homes. As persons who have fallen victim to Satan’s attack on our marriages and other family relationships, we, like Dorothy, look around and wonder, “Where am I?†“How did I get here?†In The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy was fortunate in her quest because she met some “good†and “wise†people to help her sort out her situation. Who can forget the Tin Man, Scare...
Hello every one, I want to start with a praise report, and give our God glory for what He is doing in my life. If you remember a few months ago I posted something on forgiveness and how to ask for it by confessing your wrong doings to the person you wronged. Well I did that with my wife a few months ago and at first she was extremely mad and distant. Well just yesterday when I was dropping of our girls for her week with them out of the blue she says "Scott by the way I forgive you". I sighed a huge sigh of relief and we spoke about other things then again she said "I do forgive you" I said thank you and then after talking for almost an hour I left. Trying my hardest to hold in my excitement until I was in the car and out of her sight...
