```markdown THE REWARDS OF FASTING! By Bibleman “But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.” (Mt. 6:17,18) When you fast in the right way the Lord promises to bless you and reward you! We are not to fast in a self-righteous way nor should we pursue our own personal pleasures or seek monetary profit while we are fasting (Mt. 6:16; Isa. 58:3). Fasting is a time to secretly and intimately humble ourselves before God in a penitent way and turn to Him with all of our hearts (Isa. 58:3; Joel 2:12). We are to enter fasting in a solemn, prayerful way with an attitude of sincere...
Just a message to those out there with deep hurt and pain. Those who may think God isn't there. Those who are really struggling right now. God loves you, he loves me, he loves all people. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." It may seem at times that God isn't there. Hebrews 13:5 "Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, "I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU," 6so that we confidently say, "THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID. WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?"…" Isn't that awesome God will NEVER LEAVE OR FORSAKE US!!!!! No matter what...
LORD, GIVE ME STRENGTH! Three times I pleaded with the LORD to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:8-9 Will you go to church today? Go worship our Lord and Savior, the Kings of Kings and praise His holy Name. What a privilege it is to worship and praise our awesome mighty Lord for all that He does for each of us every day. You and I are blessed to have our freedom where others are in jail or cannot meet in a church in other countries because they do not have religious freedom. Never take for granted how glorious it is to praise the Lord...
I begin with a thank you to all that is on this site, you have helped in my stand for my marriage. Jesus said that this kind of evil can only be removed by fasting and prayer. I'm starting a fast of my own and more will join. My fast starts on ### and goes through ###. I am fasting for a breakthrough in my marriage and yours. I am fasting food and soda. I truly believe in God's power and love for each of us. God truly can do anything.
Thanking God Is it possible to thank God when we hurt? Is it possible to thank God when we observe the suffering of others? Not only is it possible, it’s advisable. When we fail to acknowledge God in our suffering, we fail to understand why we are able to get through it. You may not feel like thanking God in the midst of your suffering, and certainly you don’t want to thank God when a disaster strikes someone else but misses you. That’s not what we’re talking about. Thanking God when we hurt goes much deeper. Thanking God in our suffering means that we can thank Him for getting us through our suffering. Have you ever been surprised by how much pain you can endure? When you were very young, it didn’t take much to make you...
ERASE MY WORDS! My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. James 1:19-20 Lord, please erase my words that I have said in anger, the wrong tone or with a critical tongue. Lord, forgive me. Help me not to react to my spouse's or other people’s words of accusation or blame. Instead, may I pray for Your divine guidance and for You to empower me to control my wounded, hurting emotions and speak the words with love and with how You want me to answer. Lord, also show my spouse or children their own weaknesses in talking to me if they are not speaking respectfully or in love. In Jesus’ Name I pray...
Tonight Friday 7 March 2014 Time 22:54 At night in ### ### Like every night, this is the time I missed him the most. I never go to bed until I am really over tired and I know I just will fall asleep, not noticing the empty space beside me. I am reading his scripture of the Funeral Service (My husband) and like to share this with you if I may. I'm only mention couple of verses that touch me. Gen 48: 1- Sometime Joseph was called, Your Father is ill. So he took his two sons Manasseh and Ephraim along with him vs 8 When Israel saw the sons of Joseph, he ask: Who are these? They are the sons God has given me here Joseph said to his father. Then Israel said, Bring them to me so I may bless them. Now Israel eyes ware failing, because...
Do you remember exactly when you accepted Christ as your Savior? I hope you do because it is a memory worth returning to when times are tough. At any rate, wasn't it a big relief to give up control of your life to Jesus' care? Wasn't it great that you didn't have to do anything except believe? So simple and yet so complete! Do you still rest in your original faith or have you somehow returned to "working" your way to heaven? It's become all too common. In fact, Paul encountered it with the Galatians and wrote them a letter to address this dread spiritual disease. He doesn't mince words when he says; "Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?" (Galatians 3:3) He's asking them why they...
