WALKING IN LIGHT OR DARKNESS “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!†Matthew 6:22-23 Are you walking in light? Do you know someone that you love very much who is walking in darkness right now? Your spouse or a loved one is walking in darkness if they have opened their eyes, mind and life up to the sins and ways of the world. Has your spouse fallen into a prison of darkness? If yes, never stop praying for the Lord to open their eyes to see the way of escape. When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world...
IN TIMES LIKE THESE “Does God listen to his cry when distress comes upon him? Will he find delight in the Almighty? Will he call upon God at all times? I will teach you about the power of God; the ways of the Almighty I will not conceal.†Job 27:9-11 What a day we are living in! Gas prices go up, while the value of the dollar goes down. Unemployment, health care and the housing crisis are acknowledged by politicians, and each claims to have a solution, yet doing right versus doing wrong often escapes our elected officials. Often they cannot even agree on right and wrong. On top of it all, you are in a marriage crisis. An old hymn reminds us that: In Times Like These In times like these you need a Savior, In times like these you...
LET US ALL BE LIKE JESUS Jesus came into this world so that the world might be saved through Him. “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.†John 3:17 (NKJV) He came to do the will of God and fulfill the prophecies that had been spoken many years before His birth. The Father had a will for Him just like He has a will for each and every one of us. Jesus chose to do the will of the Father and in return He offered the gift of salvation to us and inherited the Kingdom of Heaven. Throughout the four Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, Jesus’ life is replayed - the miracles He performed, the healings, giving sight to the blind, bringing the dead back to life...
(John 15:13) “Greater love has no one than this that he lay down his life for his friends.†Life throws a lot our way; family problems, financial problems, health problems, emotional problems and problems with people in general. Jesus suffered all of that for us. He said, “The Son of Man has no place to lay His head,†He came as a servant so as to understand the same issues that we face. (Hebrews 2:17) “For this reason He had to be made like His brothers in every way, in order that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that He might make atonement for the sins of the people.†He suffered problems with people, the Pharisees and Sadducees were so scared of loosing their standing the praise...
Paul warned Timothy that the "time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths" (2 Timothy 4:3-4). That warning proved true in Timothy's day, and it has proved true many times since, especially today, when we have a multitude of ear-tickling preachers. How can we recognize them? We know that deception is very deceiving and that no one is willingly duped. And we know that no one stands up and says, "What I'm teaching is false doctrine meant to deceive and destroy you!" We also know that it is arrogant for any one of us to think that we alone have sound doctrine...
1 In that day you will say: "I will praise you, O LORD. Although you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you have comforted me. 2 Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation." 3 With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. 4 In that day you will say: "Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted. 5 Sing to the LORD, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world. 6 Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you." - Isaiah 12 Hallelujah! Praise You Jesus!
Hello All, i have come across and read many prayer request of those seeking direction and guidance in these times. Seeking answers from the Lord. So i'd like to share what the Lord has shared with me through others. As you know we are called to love. According to 1John 4:8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. I have come across bible believing christians who claim to do God's work but lack true love for there brothers and sisters. They do not work and serve in Love. They mistreat those in bondage and do not act in love and kindness. I've seen debates and religious quarrels, while the captive continues to suffer needing to feel loved and protected under God's loving care. The Lord's bond-servant must not be...
(Psalm 46:10) “Be still, and know that I am God.†Has life been hitting you hard from all directions? Are problems bombarding you all at once? You pray, read the Word and seek answers and all the while your mind is screaming constantly at you reminding you of all your trouble. There is trouble in every direction and you see no way out. You are confused and discouraged and the answers are not there. Is this your life right now? Then get alone with God and be still; trash all the thoughts and worries that are overwhelming you and get alone with God and be still. When Jehoshaphat had 3 vast armies coming against him, he prayed and fasted and went before the Lord and told him that he did not know what to do. Are you in that place...
