Mary was highly favored by God. Mary bore the Son of God. Luke 1:28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. Let's look at Mary's circumstances. Mary was pregnant with the Son of God and was not married. Mary was accused of sleeping around. Mary brought shame on her family and Joseph with this child out of wedlock. Mary was accused of being a liar and losing her mind by saying: I am a virgin and pregnant. Mary's Son was born in a manger, not in a hospital. Mary and Joseph had to flee for their Son's life from Herod. Mary's Son died brutally on a cross. BUT HOW CAN THE BIBLE SAY...
Jim was the man of her dreams. But how could she be sure their Marriage would be built to last? Two weeks before my wedding to Jim. It should’ve been the happiest time of my life. Instead, I sat in my car parked outside the courthouse, crying up a storm. Was I really destined to be Mrs. Jim Dunn? If we couldn’t even get through planning a Wedding, what did that say about the future of our Marriage? I’d just picked up our Marriage License and had called Jim afterwards to vent about my stressful day of errands. “Sweetheart, slow down and relax,” he’d said in that calm way of his. Relax? Easy for Jim to say! He lived seven hours away, so I was the one planning our dream Wedding, from the centerpieces to the vanilla...

That He hears you, forgives you and loves you with a steadfast Love? That’s how the psalmist describes God. But do you sometimes secretly picture Him as an unmerciful judge, wondering if He really will forgive this sin—the one you find yourself repeatedly battling? Or does God seem like an absentee parent who is unresponsive to your needs rather than a loving Father who understands your pain? When you’ve blown it again, do you sense that God has a scowl of disappointment on His face rather than open, welcoming arms...
