If alot of people in a certain family have a certain sickness, the doctor sometimes tells us it's hereditary because of the genes..But I wonder if that's the same with certain sins. It seems to me like that, based on a few examples.like, on my mothers side, they practically all overeat on the wrong foods, with no care that they're harming the temple, the body. And by the hundredth time they see the bad food placed in front of them, they have the same near orgasmic reaction to it as is they've never seen it before.{Gluttony}{Also, a weakness of the flesh.}Also, they're mostly all into the occult, believe in it, go to psychics, etc.Now on my fathers side, not so much with those sins.Coincidence,or do certain sins run more in certain...
Trials and Obstacles Trials and obstacles in our lives can require different response, depending on their cause and/or purpose. If the purpose is to strengthen us and to instruct us in the ways of spiritual warfare, we need to embrace the trials and learn the lessons God is graciously teaching us with open hearts and willing spirits. If the cause is sin, we need to turn from the sin and receive forgiveness. When we are going through a calamity there are two ways to look at it. (1) Is God allowing the test for the purpose of taking us to a deeper level of maturity and strength? (2) Is it a result of sin? (3) Is it both? 1…Pray for wisdom (James 1:5) to know if the test you are facing is from the Lord. God allows tests...

I want to give a viewpoint on something, and see who agrees with this. The Bible states,"It is appointed unto men once to die, and after this the judgement". I want to say that, the death of the person itself is not the judgement, that happens at the Great White Throne Judgement.BUT, I don't think the persons death is completely disconnected from the judgement process, either.. I think it's part of the same process.Because I've seen the pattern. An unsaved person goes on , but then eventually gets a serious illness, then the drs. tell the family, something like,"after a time there's nothing more medical science can do."Now, the "connection" between this and judgement, is, 1,when have you heard in the Bible of a LIVING person getting...
Just saw the, newly released, five-year-old, videotaped arrest of one of my favorite Country singers, Randy Travis. My heart goes out to him. I don’t know Mr. Travis personally, but, in spite of intoxication, or perhaps, like in so many cases, because of it, he brought before us, his child and trauma. I’m not excusing his behavior, I’m simply acknowledging his humanity. Yes, he could, very easily, have hurt or killed someone. But, I don’t think it’s any small coincidence that God did not allow that to happen. Still, I couldn’t help but wonder: What is it, about us, that we seem to find such pleasure in voyeurism? We all have our shortcomings. I understand that equality is necessary when rendering judgement and justice...
Sometimes unsaved people make some dumb comments.Like, when they say they're "proud" to come out with a certain sin, they say something like,"this isn't my parents generation",we've "evolved". Like, I read recently where a a certain lady was asked if she participated in lesbian acts, and she said,"Of course. This is 2017"{Translation_ , because it's "modern times", unacceptable becomes acceptable}.That in itself is a deception,,Gods word is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, if the Bible declares it sin , it's sin in"modern" times,God didn't "change His mind" because time has past. ..The second thing, sin is not "modern".Thousands of years ago, people were practicing some of the same sins these "progressive" people think they're the...
1 John 1:8-10 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9IF we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and his word is not in us. This does not mean that we escape punishment for our sins; it means that we will not perish, in unforgiveness, because of unrepentance. How is it possible to repent for things that we refuse to even (acknowledge) confess? And, according to this scripture we cannot be forgiven unless we confess (IF WE CONFESS), it’s a choice. GOD LOVES YOU AND SO DO I To the men involved in the sexual misconduct...
I want to question the Biblical statement,"You reap what you sew.""You reap what you sew" implies things go in a certain pattern, like cause and effect..But I hear about things which seem to dispute that.Maybe you can give me some insight as to what's happening.Like, if things went in a pattern of reaping and sewing, someone who eats high fat foods would have cholesterol issues. But I've heard of of people eating nothing but for their whole lives, and their cholesterol is low, whereas someone else eats low fat foods their whole life, and needs a statin drug for high cholesterol!. Someone smokes their whole life, gets a checkup after years of that, and their lungs are perfect!!(At the same time, the person who didn't smoke their whole...
