God is our light Sunday 30th September 2018 'The Lord is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear?' Psalm 27:1 NIV Darkness can represent evil, fear and the unknown. Sometimes we feel like we're in darkness, that we can't see which direction to go in, or can't see a way out. Light brings all the opposites: good, peace and guidance. When light replaces darkness, suddenly we see where we are and where we should go. God is light. When we bring him into a dark situation, his light changes things. The Bible says: 'My God turns my darkness into light' (Psalm 18:28 NIV). His light shows us which way to go and how to get closer to him. 'Send me your light and truth to guide me. Let them lead me to... where you live' (Psalm 43:3...
All Christians should be on their knees before the Lord for salvation of all political figures. Jesus loves them, cares for them, most of them are.... Atheists. Do not believe God exists. Agnostics. Refuse to accept Jesus as Savior and Lord. Humanists. All men have power to do anything. God is not worshiped. God is ignored in their life. Socialists. Men and women are above any religion or even God Himself. Skeptics. Those who do not want to know anything to do with Jesus. Fast and pray for them. They are headig to hell. ¨Remember what Jesus said. In the last days the rise of sin and evil shall overwhelm everyone. Dear God, please save them all we pray. Amen
In politics, we hear the words "liberal" and "conservative."But taking a closer look at "liberals", I see that it goes deeper than just a political choice. Look at what the "liberals" preach compared to what the Bible teachs. Gay "marriage" is alright, let's "plug for it "{overruling what the the Bible states about it being an abomination.}Legalizing drugs, abortion, etc. Also, most of them "knock" the Bible but are into "New Age" beliefs, Buddhism, yoga, making ourselves the gods. Christianity is looked at as being "old fashioned" by liberals, who now call themselves "progressives",hinting that accepting what the Bible called sin, they've become "enlightened" since then. But this is just a deception. Now, one "defense" some Christians might...
One thing I notice quite a bit{sure you heard this "reasoning", too}is that when the world accepts something called sin in the Bible,{whereas in "the past",not as much} if we speak out against it, and stand up for our values, they label us as "cavemen".Look at what they call those who rally for {name sin}.They're "progressive."{Indicating progress has been made. But if the Bible said certain things were sin in "those days", they didn't suddenly become "alright" just because we're in "modern" times. This is just a deception of the devil, putting the thought in their heads that they can throw out" those "old' ideas",this is the 21st century,we've "advanced since then. It's called DECEPTION.Sounds familiar to,"You shall not surely die.""It...
Beautiful transformation Saturday 29th September 2018 'We are the clay, and you are the potter.' Isaiah 64:8 NLT Ever watched a lump of clay being transformed into something beautiful? If the potter wasn't shaping it, the clay wouldn't change. Isaiah says to God, 'We are the clay, and you are the potter. We are all formed by your hand' (Isaiah 64:8 NLT). With God shaping us, we're transformed into something even more beautiful than we were before. The things that we struggle with - circumstances, worries, bad habits, temptations - can all be left behind when we let God shape us. We might feel that we can't change, but that's not true. There's hope and a promise of freedom for us. In Jeremiah 18, God paints the picture of a...
~The Need To Accept~
"We need to accept the difficulties and disciplines of life so as to fully share the common life of other people. Many things that we must accept in life are not to be taken so much as being necessary for us personally, as to be experienced in order that we may share in the sufferings and problems of humanity. We need sympathy and understanding. We must share many of the experiences of life, in order to understand and sympathize with others. Unless we have been through the same experiences, we cannot understand other people or their makeup well enough to be able to help them." 'Praise God'
Guard my heart to love You more than ever before. Fill me with Your love and mercy. Clothe me in humility so I can serve others just as You did. Make me a servant of the living God. Guard my tongue so I can always bless others. Give me wisdom that comes from heaven. Help me to walk by faith and not by sight. Guide my steps towards heaven. In Jesus name. Amen
No ministry can succeed without much praying, and this praying must be fundamental, every abiding, and ever increasing. And no ministry can be a spiritual one, securing holiness in the preacher and in his people without prayer being made an evident and controlling force. God’s true preachers have been distinguished by one great feature: they were men and women of prayer. Colleges, learning, books, theology, preaching cannot make a preacher, but praying do—E.M. Bounds Let’s Pray: God I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with a praying spirit. Give me a greater, deeper, richer, truer prayer life and God do the same for the writer of this prayer. Thank You Jesus. Amen! A Praying Pulpit Begets a Praying Pew—E.M. Bounds
