That which follows is evidence for the truth: The Change of Days & Times: Constantine’s law issued (AD321) did not even mention Sabbath but referred to the mandated rest day as a “the venerable day of the sun.” And how kind he was to allow people to observe it as it was convenient. Contrast this with God’s command to observe the Sabbath “even during the plowing season and harvest” (Exodus 34:21)! Perhaps the church leaders noticed this laxity as well, for just four years later, in A.D. 325, Pope Sylvester officially named Sunday “the Lord’s Day,” and in A.D. 338, Eusebius, the court bishop of Constantine, wrote, “All things whatsoever that it was the duty to do on the Sabbath (the seventh day of the week) we (Constantine, Eusebius...
Dear Lord, I come to You in deepest love and concern for my loved one. As you know it is hard for me to watch them go through this situation. It is even harder sometimes to keep my thoughts and emotions in check. Sometimes when I am in prayer, all these things get stirred up and it is hard for me to concentrate and hear Your voice. As I go into my prayer time with You right now, I pray that You will settle all these things inside me. Clear my heart and mind of anything that will hinder my discernment of Your voice. In Your name I pray. Amen
LORD, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! Many are saying of me, “God will not deliver him.” But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me. I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side. Arise, LORD! Deliver me, my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked. From the LORD comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people. - Psalm 3
Father God, we praise you for your love and faithfulness towards your children. We praise you for being a perfect, holy, trustworthy God that is bigger than all the evil we experience here on earth. We ask that you give us eyes to see when evil is before us, hearts to hate evil and the desire to flee from its presence. We ask that you would not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil and draw us closer to yourself. We ask for the long-expected Jesus to come quickly and make all things new. We ask these things His precious name. Amen
Be Encouraged—Everything Will Be Alright Psalm 30:5-7: For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Jeremiah 29:11-14 - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Isaiah 41:10 - Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the...
Be like a postage stamp -- stick to one thing until you get there. -- Margaret Carty I wonder how many people give up on their dream when they are just a week or two away from the big breakthrough that would bring it about? One of the most challenging aspects of attaining success is to maintain a sense of urgency about your work, while at the same being patient enough to stick with it for as long as necessary. It takes belief, faith and confidence. Belief in what you are doing. Faith that the value you are creating will eventually come back to you, multiplied many times over. Confidence that comes from knowing that you are putting forth your very best effort. If you work on something long enough, sincerely giving...
I am a gardener, I know plants grow at the bottom first, Root before stem, Stem before flower. The soil must be rich, dark, I must water until it's soaked So thirsty roots Will go deep to drink Not fan out on the surface To wither in the heat. Go down first, Trust depths and darkness, Then flower. -Author Unknown Read more at https://www.motivateus.com
Some days will be joyful and other days will be painful. Through it all, life is worth every moment. Some experiences will be frustrating and others will be exhilarating. Choose to see the positive value in all those experiences, and to grow stronger with each one. On some days the sunshine will feel delightfully warm and on other days the wind will be bitterly cold. Yet every day, each feeling can make you feel more richly alive. The future may at times appear bright and at other times seem to be deeply troubling. Whatever the case, you can always make the very best of the time you have, as it comes. Life will always have its ups and downs. Instead of making a judgment about every experience, make the choice to embrace it all. See...
Are you ready for the Pain? KJB1611, Hosea 4: 2 By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adulterie, they breake out, and blood toucheth blood. 3 Therefore shall the land mourne, and euery one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beastes of the field, and with the foules of heauen, yea the fishes of the Sea also shall be taken away. Are not yet the Beasts on the earth being taken away now? Are not the fowls taken away? Are not the fishes taken away? Hosea 4 has been fulfilled.
