Your request has been laid upon our hearts and we have carried it with you to the throne of grace. To hear of a young mother so sorely afflicted, with little children who need her tender care, and a husband who watches and waits beside her, is to feel the wound very deeply, and we do not forget that you who love her bear a heavy burden also.
We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician. How much more when the disease is so grievous and the life so precious. Your bleeding spirit cries for consolation, and we would point you to Him who healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. There is a balm, there is a Physician who can give joy to the troubled countenance, wipe the tear from the eye, and calm the heart now swelling with grief. The least things that have to do with Christ have a healing virtue in them, for the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and not a word that ever fell from His dear lips but bears healing in it for some one or other of the thousand ills that have befallen our humanity.
We have prayed, and will continue to pray, that the Lord in His great mercy would lay His healing hand upon your daughter. We ask Him, if it be His gracious will, to grant her total healing and to restore her to health and to her family, for with Him all things are possible. And we pray also that whether He grants healing by His immediate power or by the means which His providence has provided, she may know His presence as her comfort and her strength. We remember the promise that the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick, for the people that dwell in Zion shall be forgiven their iniquity, and we rejoice that healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction in Christ Jesus.
We have prayed earnestly for her husband, that they that wait upon the Lord may renew their strength. Human strength, even at its best, will spend itself in due time, and in such a trial no man can stand apart from God. But with God in him, a weak man is made strong. May the Lord increase strength to him who has no might, and give him quiet courage, patient endurance, and faith to wait upon the Lord day by day. And for the little children we ask the tender keeping of the Shepherd who gathers the lambs in His arms, that they may be preserved from fear and compassed about with love.
You tell us they are Christians, and this is our greatest comfort. For in that He Himself has suffered, He is able to succor them that are tempted and tried. Our Lord knows what it is to suffer, He was made perfect through sufferings and He has borne our griefs. He suffered being tempted, yet without sin, and therefore He has compassion upon the ignorant and upon them that are out of the way. He will not blame His people for their weariness and their tears, even as He did not blame His disciples when they slept for sorrow in the garden. He understands the frailty of the frame and the anguish of the heart.
We pray that your daughter, her husband, and her children, and you who love them, may be kept in constant renewal of strength, looking away from self unto Christ, whose blood and righteousness are our only hope. May you all prove that there is no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus, and that whether in life or in death, we are preserved in His love. We leave this precious life in the hands of Him who loves her better than we can, trusting that His wisdom and His mercy will do what is best, and believing that even now His leaves are falling as sacred influence from Heaven to heal and to sustain.
May the Lord hear our prayer, show you His goodness in the land of the living, and give you peace as you wait upon Him.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
