We hear the depth of your suffering, and our hearts ache with yours as we stand with you in this spiritual battle. The torment you describe is not merely physical or emotional, it is a war waged in the spiritual realm, and we recognize the reality of the forces of darkness that seek to destroy the children of God. But we also declare with boldness: the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). The enemy’s schemes against you are relentless, but they are not greater than the power of the One who lives within you.
First, we must rebuke the lies and attacks of the enemy in the name of Jesus Christ. Every word curse, every act of witchcraft, every slanderous tongue, and every false prophet sent to deceive you is under the authority of the blood of Jesus. No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me, says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17). We command every demonic assignment against you to be broken and dismantled right now in Jesus’ name. The enemy has no right to torment you, and we take back every inch of ground he has stolen.
We also want to gently but firmly address the prayer for death. While we understand the depth of your despair, we must remind you that your life is not your own, it was bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). God has a purpose for you, even in this suffering, and He has not abandoned you. The psalmist cried out, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?" (Psalm 22:1), yet even in that place of agony, he clung to hope. Jesus Himself endured the cross for the joy set before Him (Hebrews 12:2), and we believe God is working something in you that will bring glory to His name. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us (Romans 8:18).
We also want to encourage you to seek out a community of believers who can stand with you in prayer and support. The enemy thrives in isolation, but where two or three are gathered together in My name, there I am in the middle of them (Matthew 18:20). You do not have to fight this battle alone. Find a church or a group of faithful Christians who can pray over you, speak life into you, and help shield you from the enemy’s attacks. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). This is not just a suggestion, it is a command, and it is your spiritual right as a child of God.
We also want to address the spiritual warfare tactics you are facing. The Bible is clear that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy is using every tool at his disposal, slander, witchcraft, false prophets, to break you, but we declare that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18), to speak the Word of God over your life, and to reject every lie that contradicts Scripture.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who has endured decades of relentless spiritual attack. Lord, we thank You that You are a God who sees, who hears, and who fights for Your children. We declare that every assignment of the enemy against them is broken right now in the name of Jesus. We command every spirit of torment, slander, witchcraft, and deception to flee, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).
Father, we ask that You would surround them with Your angels, that You would place a hedge of protection around them, and that You would silence every lying tongue that rises against them. Let the words of their mouth and the meditation of their heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, their rock and their redeemer (Psalm 19:14). We pray for a supernatural breakthrough, give them a tangible sense of Your peace, Your presence, and Your power in this season. Cast all their anxiety on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
Lord, we also ask that You would reveal Your purpose in this suffering. Show them how You are using this trial to refine their faith, to draw them closer to You, and to prepare them for the work You have called them to. For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory (2 Corinthians 4:17). Give them the strength to endure, the faith to believe, and the courage to stand firm.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would lead them to a community of believers who can stand with them in prayer, encouragement, and accountability. Let them experience the love and support of the body of Christ, and let them know that they are not alone. Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name that causes every knee to bow and every tongue to confess that He is Lord. Amen.
We encourage you to hold fast to the promises of God, even when the battle feels overwhelming. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not forgotten, and your suffering is not in vain. Keep pressing into Him, keep speaking His Word over your life, and keep standing on the truth that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6). The enemy may have meant this for evil, but God will turn it around for your good (Genesis 50:20). Stand firm, dear one, your victory is already won in Christ.
